Back when the park first opened, there was an NFL Off-Season and so 'I'm recovering from the hard season' Shaun is spending a weekend at this latest park that is doing the rounds on social media. Wandering, generally, around and keeping away from paparazzi.
There's a line though for this ride and, well, that's where Aisley comes in!

Wanting to get some of that adrenaline rush in his system, Shaun Burr's wanders through the park bringing him to one Alpine Escape rollercoaster. Out at the Mystic Mountain part of the park, slowly doing a loop around the place while he has a whole weekend to enjoy. Relax and forget about the season.
Wasn't the best for the Los Angeles Chargers and that contract was being run down by the team. Really it was a torrid season with barely over 1,000 rushing yards made by the team as a whole. Three other Running Backs as well? Might be time for a change.
But that is what Shaun is avoiding, escaping and getting away for. So standing in the line at the Alpine Escape he is wearing a loose white cotton shirt and slim-fit grey jeans. Brown ankle boots to go with it with a finish off of grey ray-ban sunglasses. Lifting his head up to see how long was on the digital board waiting to get onto the ride, Shaun is after looking over his shoulder to see who else was near and if it was anyone to avoid.
“Come on, let’s keep going.” Aisley urges the dour kids in front of her.
It was summer break, and the family that Aisley was working for had thought it was a great idea to not only visit the park but also take their two kids best friends. About two days into that decision the parents were already tapping out and we’re leaving her to take the kids on all the rides and see all the shows and anything else they wanted to do. She was getting paid for this and this was her job so she couldn’t complain too much. She had signed up for all of this. Plus, she loved spellbound.
“Excuse me, I’m sorry.” Aisley says as she passes Shaun by to get it in line for the ride. For summertime though wait for the rides had not been too terrible. Currently the wait time look to be about 30 minutes.
Given that it was Summer, she was wearing a white tank top tucked into jeans and shoes that were made for walking. There was a Crossbody purse on her body that had a stuffed yeti attached to it. Obviously someone either want it for her or one of the kids, and she was the one left carrying it. Thankfully, it could be wrapped around the strap of her purse and she didn’t have to carry it. Her favorite pair of black Ray-Ban’s were covering her light colored eyes, shielding them from the warm, hot and bright sun.
Looking over his shoulder once more, there Shaun was seeing Aisley with the two children. Pulling his lips into his mouth for a moment, a private little shiver about children catching him. His mind running on about possibly sticky, sweet covered hands. Loud noises. Demands. Crying. A hand of his moving up to his temple as if to touch where a pounding heading could potentially form itself just before Aisley is looking up to him with the Ray-Ban's worn.
"Hey don't worry about it."
Shaun's gaze is keeping down on Aisley face for a moment as he is stepping back to allow her and the two kids to take their spot. A little shrug to his shoulders to himself as his mind is moving on to keep talking with the visiting nanny.
"First time?"
Safely the kids that she had with her today were out of the range of sticky hands. Mostly. Sticky faces? That is altogether another thing. Sticky faces didn’t stop occurring until adulthood and even then…. Some adults had sticky faces and did not care in the least.
The kids seemed content to talk to one another so when Shaun continued to talk to her she turned her gaze back to him. “This month?” She asks with a quick grin, shaking her head, “No, this is our third time since they've opened and I suspect we’ll be back here during the winter school break.”
An idea that did not seem to bother her at all. Aisley rather liked it here at spellbound, even if she was poured into bed at the end of each day.
“What about you? First time here?”
"This year huh?" Shaun's sunglasses were moving up over his forehead, pulling back the fringe of his stylised dark hair to sweep it back slightly. Bunching a few of the hairs together while keeping his hand down in his phone's pocket.
"Was it the annual guest pass or? Somewhere to always bring..." Shaun's voice trailing, glance to the two children before back to Aisley as they are being shuffled forward.
"First time. Starting at the top, going clockwise."
"Yep! Annual guess pass holders," looking back at the kids quickly as the line start to move, urging them to take the few steps to keep up with the line. Once settled again, Aisley turns her head to look up at Shaun, the shade of the overhang they were under was enough that she didn't need to have those Ran-Ban sunglasses on anymore. Removing them to reveal light green eyes, the sunglasses are folded half way before the one open side of the glasses is hooked into the front of her white tank top and she closes them there to keep them within range of grabbing.
"The kid's parents," Aisley started, she did not look old enough to have kids this age and if she had... she would have started at a very young age. "like to make the best use of their breaks from school. Summertime gets at least two trips out here, this is our last one before school starts back up again in August."
Leaning against the rails meant to keep them all in line she crosses her arms over her chest, "First time, Huh?" Smirking and looking like she was about to say something she found amusing when she looked back up at him now that his glasses were removed and her face falls. "Wait- Are you..." squinting up at him, turning her head to look from a different angle, "Are you Shaun Burr?"
"Meanwhile there's me, being sent here for 'safe keeping' so to speak." Shaun is pausing his ramble while Aisley's sunglasses are going away from her face. The edges of his lips curling up a subtle smile as they are being shuffled through the line. "That and, you know, to get a little break from Los Angeles." Moving his hand back to the railing behind him, Shaun is comfortably leaning a little on that arm as there is almost an audible exhale at hearing kid's parents.
"Oh, you like their nanny? Minder? I did not know that people still had like live-in nanny's but guess rich. Famous and kids." Pausing to speak as he is turning to face Aisley opposite. As she is leaning back, he is following suit, elbows on the rails behind him while drawing in a deeper toke of air. "First time. Clearly I need someone who knows their way around to take and show the high---"
Drawing his voice off as Aisley is squinting towards him, looking at his face. Shaun's lips are flicking up a tick higher.
"I am, you've caught me. And then. Who might I be having the pleasure of meeting?"
It had happened a few times before. People, and in this case attractive men, thought that because she was with the kids she much be the mother. "I grew up in Los Angeles." smiling at the fact that he is from there, "I live up in Santa Barabara now." Gesturing to the kids to the side of her now as she leaned and spoke with him.
Nodding her head very slowly, "You'd be amazed... But yeah. The ri-" Aisley started to say the word 'rich' but then side eyed the kids and cleared her throat, rephrasing to "Those with the funding available to have one... They still like to have live in Nanny's." Using her title for clarification in case he was wondering about what it was, live in or not. "Au Pair sounds nicer and rolls off the tongue in a fancier way," Shrugging, "I don't mind being called a Nanny though. That's what I am after all."
For just a moment, Shaun could see the fan girl in her wanting to slip out, her eyes lit up at the confirmation of who he was and she beamed a bright smile. Forcing herself mentally to remain calm she took a breath and said "I've watched your games, and you're pretty good." flicking her tongue over her lips before biting her bottom lip, "I'm actually a pretty big NFL fan." Laughing, "Don't let my size fool you," adding a pun to that last comment.
What he was on his way to saying was picked up and remembered, "I could show you some of my favorite spots around here? If you're looking for a tour guide that is."
"Oh you did?! Which part did you grow up in?" Playing out a broader smile over his lips, Shaun is hooking himself into the conversation with Aisley. "LA is just different. Just has everything I'd want or need in a place. Like you can get good Chinese food then head to a red carpet event and finish at a speakeasy bar."
With the dark haired woman leaning in closer, Shaun is following suit as the group forming is being shuffled up along the line to get slowly closer to the ride itself. "Yeah I'd agree with that. Au Pair sounds nicer, fancy. Hey if you want to be called an Au Pair. I'll go with that. Met a nice, a great, Au Pair the other day. Cute, short thing. Come to about -yeahy- tall."
Shaun's hand moving to about his midsection, although a few inches off of Aisley height as he was teasing her with a little grin touching his lips.
"Hey I'm told tiny things are surprising packages. I'd like not expect a thing different from -oh sorry." Shaun is cutting himself off for a moment, "I hadn't caught your name. I mean I've got to know the name of the cute Au Pair who's moonlighting as a tour guide for me."
"Pasadena," Aisley informs him of where her childhood home was located, "My parents are still back there. I have to say though, you're life in LA sounds a lot more interesting than mine was. I never went on the red carpet for an event. Passed by them a couple of times? Just for a little looksee." Who wouldn't if you saw it happening? "I moved up to Santa Barbara for college and then just stayed up there since I had a pretty good gig with these kiddos." She looks back over to the kiddos on her side.
Shaking her head, she reaches for his hand moves up further to her actual height, and stands under the palm of his hand to confirm her height, "See, way off. I'm at least this tall." She was used to being teased even in good humor for her height and she didn't seem to mind being teased but she'd give it back if they made her too short. "The kids like their Au Pair to be closer to their level." She was reaching for a positive excuse there.
"Caught you at a disadvantage didn't I?" Aisley looks amused, "It could be fun keep you guessing my name, though you called me cute, so I suppose that comment alone is worth knowing my name." the smile returning to her mouth, "I'm Aisley Fitzpatrick." Giving him her last name since she obviously knew his.
"Nice spot and, hey we like moved in different circles at different times." Fortunately for Shaun the line wasn't moving at this point, allowing him to stand in front of and close with Aisley as she is taking his hand. "Plus, UCLA against UCSB. Different ends of town, must have been arriving as I was like maybe leaving." Easing his hand up as Aisley is moving it to her actual height, there a little smirk is touching his lips.
"Still a cute, fun-sized package of an Au Pair."
Shaun's tongue pressing against the top of his mouth while keeping those lips raking up on his features, a low laugh touching his voice at the excuse being found. "Aisley Fitzpatrick. Well good to meet you proper then." Curling in his hand against hers while asking, "Irish family? With a surname like Fitzpatrick."

Aisley had to laugh, "You could say that," the difference between red carpet and not. "Or vise versa. I left for school at 18 and from what my fantasy football league has taught me is that you are not much older than I am. Your career out of UCLA would have been about to pick up as I was leaving the area." Maybe she'd had drafted him in her fantasy football league at some point and time, thought she admits nothing of that sort.
"As you said, surprising and fun things come in small packages, Fun-Sized is probably just the right thing to describe me." Shaun was touching her hand and curdling it against her own, he was looking down at her and calling her cute again and she had to remind herself that she was still on the clock.
"Yehs! My fahthur is from Oireland, tick accent he has. Family is still in Dooblin abouts." Aisley says her best imitation of an Irish accent, which is actually not that bad, easily picked up from her father. She laughs, "My mother is not, she is Hispanic."
With the edges of his lips curling a tick, just a little thing, Shaun was exhaling an amused sounding puff of air through his chest as Aisley was sharing about his career. "Sounds like you know me -quite- well already, Aisley." Repeating her name, making sure he is going to be remembering it as they are being shuffled still a little further down the line.
Hearing her tone of voice, seeing the look of her to the hands being held, Shaun is leaning in near-to Aisley's ear as he is drawing his voice lower. "And the tour. After hours? All access?" His tone lacing itself with the sweet subtle hedonism in the NFL player. That reputation that the more tabloid-newspapers and fan groups would despise from him.
Leaning back as Aisley's imitation accent is coming out, Shaun is laughing almost instantly with his head shaking somewhat. "Irish and Hispanic. That has to be a story how those two met."
"I know what your stats are, your height, your weight, how many rushing yards you've had in the last year, and what the new articles say," Aisley confesses, "Does that mean I know you?" A single brow quirks upward and she tilts her head just to right a tick, "I don't think that tells me anything about you at all."
Leaning her head in and turning in towards his neck while he spoke into her ear, Aisley was thankful that he couldn't see her face at the time he was speaking. Catching her bottom lip to bite back the larger smile that was forming there as she pulls back from her leaned position. "I'll be relieved of my duties around 6," says, "I could meet you in the lobby of the resort and we could go from there. You can tell me what you want to see."
The line moved and she had to let go of his hand and move forward in the line, they were going to be coming up next, and the person that was pushing people into groups looked at the kids and then at Aisley, "Three." Head turning half towards Shaun, "Sorry, make that four." They are ushered in and the two kids are pointed into one row and Aisley and Shaun are pointed to the one directly behind them, "Better than being a single rider."
They had a few minutes to wait for the rollercoaster to come by again, so while they waited she joined him in his laughter, "It is a very interesting story. And if you want to know, I'll tell you tonight."
Wearing a broader near-smug look on his face as Aisley is confessing to him, Shaun's eyebrows are flicking up again as a laugh touches his voice. A shrug following on, an attempt at playing and staying coy as she is leaning back from that position. His hazel-hued eyes on her face as he is nodding, composing his expressions once more. "Around six? Got it. Alright I'll get a list ready then for what I want to see and do."
As it is their turn, Shaun is tucking behind so that Aisley and the two children can get on the ride first. More space for them, easier than pushing to the front to claim a spot. After all... they are kids. As he is being invited in for the row behind them, with Aisley, Shaun is lifting up his eyebrows surprised. "Sure? I mean. I mean I won't say no." With the kids being locked in, moved on a bit further, Shaun is taking his chances.
"Works for me, hey let me dig out my number then Aisley Fitzpatrick. You can text me then when you are done and free. Let me know what the dress code is even."
"I'm sure." Aisley says with a laugh, the coaster was gliding its way towards them and pausing to allow the other passengers off before they can be let on. A few seconds behind the kids to watch them get into their own compartment safely before climbing in over to her own seat and settling down so that Shaun can do the same beside her.
The kids were being strapped in and Aisley was pulling her own bar down towards her lap to feel secure in where she was sitting, "I'll give you my number after the ride," moving her arms so that her hand could be pressed against his forearm, "We got time, just enjoy the ride, hot shot." smiling, "And to the last part, casual, I'm usually always casual. Just be comfortable."
He's an opportunistic one this Shaun, with Aisley moving to climb into her own seat the athlete is tilting his head to watch her lean and move into position. A glimpse, a glance to himself as the rakish man has a moment before climbing on in himself.
"That's one way of like making sure I actually stick to the ride." Shaun's hand is moving to the back of the seat to allow the lankier man to ease himself on into the cart, glimpsing to Aisley beside him as he is getting himself comfortable beside her. One hand moving to the bar, bringing it down to secure it over his body while a member of staff is checking them over. A passing glimpse first to her hand before back to her face. "Casual. Got it."
Shaun is moving to lean himself back into the seat as the two straps around him are being checked over. Tugged, inspected before a thumbs up is given allowing the countdown for the ride to begin.
