[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Next year you should have enough seniority to ask for either Thanksgiving or Christmas off

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: On the ferry now. Talk about boring...four hour drive ahead of me

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Oh I mean they gave me the option. They were nice about it. I just got here though and didn't really feel like going back

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Do you have a good audiobook to listen to at least?

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: I was scrolling through some podcasts, but I am open to audiobook suggestions

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: I hear War & Peace is a good one

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Didn't some author do a War & Peace & Zombies with that one?

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Who knows, maybe it'll inspire you and you'll want to listen to it while working?

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Probably. I think they did a lot of those to try to get people interested

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: I don't think it worked. Not for me at least

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Now if it was werewolves...

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Oh he's a werewolf guy huh

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: I find the folklore about werewolves a lot more interesting

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Don't tell me you are a vampire person

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Is there a lot of folklore in those books? I assumed it was just all Twilight level love triangles

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: I'm partial to swamp monsters

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: In zombie books? None of the mainstream stuff. It's all about viruses and fungus, and nothing about voodoo at all. Disappointing

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Swamp monsters...huh, I can see it. You fit the vibe 😂

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Is the "get out of my swamp" vibe?

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Isn't that an ogre? You definitely don't have an ogre vibe

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Well is an ogre a monster? I guess that's the real definitive factor here

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Not so much anymore. Video games and RPGs have taken the monster out of ogres, mostly

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Not sure I would consider all swamp creatures monsters either. Swamp Thing wasn't

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Have they? I'm a woefully behind the times

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: What was Swamp Thing, then?

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: The one I am familiar with was the result of science and being in the wrong place at the wrong time

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: But that's comics not folklore so take that with a large handful of salt

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Yeah I was about to say that we crossed over at some point there

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Did you study folklore in school or is it just something for fun?

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Yes. Both. First one, than the other

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: A degree in folklore is worth about as much as the paper it's printed on 🤣

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: But at least it sounds REALLY cool. And you can tell the most interesting stories at parties

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: And instruct people on how not to get kidnapped by the fae, it in this economy could be a better option

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Yeah actually I'd rather do that than pay taxes

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: I'll keep that in mind should the fae take you under the hill. I won't rush to much to get a rescue party together

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: What all does your family get up to for the holidays?

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: My parents are from Scotland so its a mix of traditional Scots stuff and American

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Lots of baking together, eating, and teasing the nieces and nephews about being naughty so Santa isn't coming. All the usual stuff

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Damn that's cool. What kinds of traditional stuff is it? Like those paper crowns in all the UK movies?

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: It's cool, now. Not so much when I was a kid

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: And yes, we do the Christmas Crackers. If you want, I will bring one back for you. We always have extra

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Mum insists on all of us making yule bread, and by us I mean my sibs and I. We used to do a yule log, but we gather at my sister's now and she doesn't have a fireplace

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Yes please! I've never had one of those before, they sound neat!

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Are there a lot of sibs?

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Making yule bread sounds festive as heck, geez

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: Done! One Christmas cracker coming your way

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: 3 brothers and a sister. I am right there in the middle

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: It has special toys and trinkets in it. Kind of like Mardi Gras king bread

[TXT to Gabriel] Kellin: How about you? Any sibs?

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: I do love a good trinket. Looking forward to seeing it.

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: Nope, no siblings. Just me to torment my parents

[TXT to Kellin] Gabriel: But I gotta get ready for my shift now unfortunately. I hope your commute is made shorter by Tolstoy. Tell me what happens in the end 😆
