2025-01-16 - Journal Entry #7 (Erika Y's)

It is Thursday morning in Erika's room on Crescent Island. She has gone on and return from her morning run, had breakfast and showered. She is sitting on her bed with a towel wrapped around her body and another around her head absorbing the water from her hair. She has her laptop in its eponymous location as she types up an entry about experiences the previous day.

Had an overnight shift on the 14th and will be shifting to days but I had a couple of days off. Spent yesterday further exploring the tunnels under Spellbound Island. Found the breakroom and discovered it has some pinball machines in it! I also made a new friend - Artemisia, or Arte as she said to call her.

Arte was playing Pokémon and after hearing I'd never really played it, she let me play at her game for a bit. We talked about our jobs some. She's a performer. A pianist specifically, she's hoping to be able to join the Spookeasy piano duels and has promised to invite me to one of the performances once she's in them. We traded phone numbers as well to make that easier. She got me into my own instance of the game and helped me out for a while before she had to leave for her shift. I did continue playing a bit, but it seems more fun with an audience.

Tank reached out to me while I was playing, gave me a good excuse to save the game. He invited me back to his shop for measurements. He seemed to be adorably awkward with me standing in my undergarments but covered it pretty well, so it wasn't embarrassing for him. I was also pleased to see he was comfortable using his tail around me, that was nice. We even spent some time discussing my recent discovery day where I explored my new ability to split into two of myself. I already count him as a friend and he was so kind in expressing his desire to explore possibly more, even to the point of not fully asking so I could be the one to lock in the idea.

I hope he calls, and I can't wait to see the outfits he makes for me to wear to the karaoke with myself on Saturday.
