It's Dream States night at the Paradise Beach Club which means that the theme is dreams and nightmares and those present have embraced the theme, wearing everything from diaphanous gowns to heavy gothic makeup and little horns upon their heads. The music is a strangely cacophonous mix that evokes the strange and shifting landscape of a dream, or nightmare.
There are drink specials named "Naked in Front of the Class" and "I Believe I Can Fly" after familiar dream and nightmare tropes. All are served from the indoor bar, the club closed to keep the warmth inside.

Alan is definitely repping the nightmares this time around, clad all in black save for the large horns that curl back from the top of his head which are wound in red leather that trails off the ends in black and red strips. His makeup is pale, his eyes lined, and he even has his claws out for the evening, the black sharp points tapping along as he looks out over the crowd, watching those who have fully embraced the theme and those who have chosen to come a little more dressed down mingle and move on the floor. He has an excellent vantage point to people watch.
Aisley arrives barefoot, wearing a long, flowing white dress that looks like it's been made from the same thick fabric of ship sails that have been ripped apart. The material is tattered and dirty at the edges. She's applied greyish pale makeup that causes her eyes to look sunken and her lips have been blue-tinted in a light hue. The dark locks of hair are left down and wild, and what looks to be like real leaves and twigs have been entangled with it. That will be a pain to get out later. Lastly, adding some sheer, ghost-like fabric to her outfit to create a floating effect as she moves, like she's floating in the water.
Theo wanders into the club and looks around for any familiar faces. He's in blues and silvers. Maybe he has come as the lucid dreamer. It does play along with his cosmetic changes. Mood ring eyes and the gold lines that track down his hands and neck. Really, whatever skin he is showing has that gold. He is wearing silver rings on his hands to hold onto this theme and has taken the time to paint his nails. He went all out for this. It is a holographic sheen in coloring. Stopping at the bar and he laughs when he sees one of the drink choices is Naked in Front of the Class. He tells the tender, "I will have one of those." Chuckling as he waits.
Shirley walks into the club looking like she is made out of candy canes thanks to the patterning she has showing on her skin, her make up is done like a sugar plum fairy's with a bright blue dress that looks like cotton candy and actually wearing a pair of sparkling white high heels. She loves the fact it was nice and warm inside as she makes her way over to the bar top.
The "Naked in Front of the Class" specialty drink is a deep blushing pink frozen concoction with a vodka base that is a mixture of raspberry and peach and is served in a rounded glass. The "I Believe I Can Fly" specialty drink is bright and blue as the sky with a mix of rum, blue curacao and frosty floating icecubes in the shapes of clouds with a lime wedge like the moon hanging over the rim of the glass.
Ruby loves a theme night! She also loves Alan, so really a win win! She shows up sans boyfriend with a few of the other Marine Center employees she'd heckled into coming. No manatees, unfortunately. She's dressed like a goddess in a mini dress that looks like it's been made of liquid gold, a pair of small angel wings with sparkly golden tips, and a coordinating headpiece that wraps around the back of her head. Her makeup is done in a complimentary fashion with sparkly eyeshadow and gold glitter freckles splattered across the bridge of her nose like well-placed constellations.
She waves excitedly at Alan, not that he'll probably see her in the crowd, then makes her way to the bar. "Well I can fly," she tells the bartender, nodding at her wings. He is polite enough to chuckle and get her that drink.
That was getting to be a crowded place as people started to arrive and Aisley let others go ahead of her for the time being, looking over the two drink choices and smiling to herself. A hand tucks into the white fabric of her dress and keeps it out of the way not to trip herself or others.
"The Naked In Front of the Class," ordering it when she gets a turn up at the bar, "I've never had that dream," she tells the bartender even though he didn't ask.
<FS3> Robin rolls power: Success (8 5 5 4 4 4 3 1 1)
Robin shows up from the opposite side of the colour pallet from Aisley shouded in layers of black like a wraith and the center of his face looking a hollow void to space and beyond. The music already has taken the painter whose fingers look like they've been dipped in ink to the first knuckle, and continue dripping up his arms while he dances to the music there.
Finally hitting up the bar Robin works on trying to sign to the bartender, his letters showing up a green-grey right now, but the business making them hard to find. Marginally successful he points to Aisley and then holds up 2 fingers. He'll go with that in lieu of successful communication at present. Turning to Shirley both of his hands go out and then gesture to all of her in a small clap.
When his drink is securely in his hand, that is when Theo actually pays attention to all that have come here tonight, and he is all smiles. He is digging all the themes represented tonight. In seeing Robin, the painter gets a thumbs up from him. Aisley also gets a smile. "Hey. You are from New Year's Eve!" Meaning that is where he saw her last. The other two, if they are close by, would be Ruby and Shirley. Get an introduction. "Theo, nice to meet you!"
Rune wanders in wearing a black bodycon dress, a lot of delicate body chains, and a halo crown of hammered metal. She moves in like a nightmare (or dream, depends on who you are), and takes up a seat at the bar. Primarily because the heels she's wearing are not for prolonged standing and the bar is where they keep the drinks. Her long orange locs are pulled up in an up-do that nods to vintage 40s/50s style. She smiles, moving in her seat to the beat of the music Alan's spinning. Her gaze slides across the crowd, pausing on Ruby's gold accents, Shirley's sugarplum vibes, Theo's holographic touches, Robin's wraith in motion. When Aisley orders up a drink, she leans in to call to the bartender, "I'll have one too!" Her accent still carries a heavy Eastern European influence, though it might take hearing her talk a little more to pin it down to a country.
Ruby makes herself busy checking out the other party goers outfits. Her features light up when she spots Aisley. "Oh, I love this," she says, admiring the creativity. "You remind me of Ariel in The Little Mermaid when she makes the dress out of the sail!" Truly, a high compliment. She then offers Theo a little wave. "Nice to meet you too, Ruby," she says. Rune also gets an appreciative look. "Everyone looks amazing!"
Shirley offers a smile to the bartender and requests, "I will have a Night in front of the class as well please." Her darj eyes curiously sweeping over those present, admiring the outfits and offering friendly smiles.
Alan happens to have a pretty good vantage point from where he is to see the whole of the floor and those on it. He catches sight of Ruby in the crowd and lifts a hand to give her a little wave. There are others he recognizes out on the floor and if they happen to look his way, they'll get an up-nod of greeting or a bit of a wave as he keeps the music going. Call For Me plays over the speakers and as the music plays and folks get their drinks and get out on the floor, there's a gradual shift to the atmosphere of the club itself. The very air itself takes on a hazy dreamlike quality, shimmering with silverly blue and pale lavender beneath the shifting lights.
Spotting Robin, Aisley makes a motion to his outfit, "I love everything about this, what a great idea, I might steal this look for one of my next dreams."
The Naked drink seems to gain popularity after she orders one, there is one for Robin added, then Theo...
Theo's voice catches her attention, at first recognizing it from somewhere and then his face and reminders of New Years bring it all together, "YES!" she says animatedly, despite looking like a dead sunken woman from the sea, she is actually a pretty happy person. "We were going to me friendship bracelets," for whatever reason that didn't happen, "I'm sorry I didn't follow up with that, right after that we had so many kids come in... But I'm going to be doing a cookie decorating thing. It's not a friendship bracelet, but maybe you want to come decorate friendship cookies?" That could be a thing.
More drinks for the Naked drink are ordered, her head turning towards Rune and smiling a greeting before Ruby calls her Ariel, "Sorta, kinda what I was going for? More like if Ariel couldn't have made it to the top." A little creepy, but she was trying to be.
Aaron comes walking into the club looking around, a black hood slightly sitting on his head, dyed hair peeking out slightly from underneath. He is dressed in slight fantasy-like elf clothing, his hands are covered in silver metal that is connected by chains that end are his fingertips in slightly sharp-looking claws and held on around his wrists by the same chains that wrap into bracelets to help keep is in place. Moving to pull his hood down as if in search for looking for someone his hair and his face can be seen he is dressed as asana elf a dream elf. There is a small silver hoop that sits against the middle of his nose his head is already bobbing to the beat of the music playing.
Blaze steps into the somewhat unfamiliar room, full of unfamiliar people, her gaze sweeping the room. For tonight, she's chosen to wear a sleek black dress. The top fits snugly across her chest and offers onlookers an easy view of her many tattoos covering the upper half of her body and up her neck. The bottom of the gown cinches together at her waist, then flares out, the sides of the skirt cut up to her hips, allowing the young woman easy access as she walks around the club, wearing lace-up shoes.
As silent as she can, she maneuvers herself through the quickly filling room, and to the bar, a smile and nod offered to anyone she passes.
"Wow, you look great!" Theo compliments Rune when she joins the crowd lingering at the bar. He has not yet sipped his drink, so he is working on that. Giving a nod to Ruby when she offers her name. Shirley gets a smile.
"Oh, this song is great, DJ ESCAPE!" Calling out to the DJ who is mixing tonight. He also gives a thumbs up to the DJ and what he's wearing. "Sure, I could be down to making cookies. Thanks!" This is said towards Aisley.
Dress in black? Blend into the darkness? Move in the shadows and slide unnoticed through the teeming traffic of life, a nightmare creeping up on the unsuspecting innocents of the world?
If you think Brandon O'Donnell's dressing like that, you haven't met the guy. Dreams take different forms but the young man behind this one just so happens to have access to all of the props and costumes of the River Village Arena, and the confidence of the popstar he was, to boot. So it happens that walking in off the beach, of a sudden framed in the doorway against the backdrop of the darkening lake is a proper prince in knightly raiment.
A flowing white mantle draping his shoulders to alternately cover and blend with silken white robes, belted at the waist with black leather and gilded hardware that fastens the sword dangling from his hip, Brandon pauses on the threshold. His sandy hair is down, messy as ever, and a laughing grin is in his eyes as he scans the crowd, searching.....
"I get it," Ruby says to Aisley, the makeup and styling not lost on her. She thanks the bartender as he slides her blue cocktail her way. She keeps her tab open. "I'm going to try and get closer to the stage!" She tells those she'd been chatting with. It's an open invitation to anyone who would like to dance.
The pop star's arrival goes unnoticed. She's too busy sipping her drink, which tastes delicious and navigating the dense crowd with wings. With some effort, she makes it to the front of the stage, swinging her hips and singing along.
Shifting from one song to the next Just Breathe slows things down a little bit, bringing a more mellow energy with it, the breathy whispery voice punctuated by the beat behind it. Alan bobs his head along with the beat as he watches the dancers out on the floor. There's a flicker of a familiar smile when he sees Blaze, giving her a little up-nod, and returns Theo's thumbs-up.
The haze in the room brings with it a soft scent of sweet florals that are hard to distinguish from one another. There's a feeling of lightness in the room, almost like one's burden's are being lifted, like everything is slowing down, sleepy and pleasant, like a lazy weekend drifting in and out of a comfortable doze. The dancers on the floor become a bit more languid, their movements more relaxed.

Robin looks to Theo and nods <<yes, that me>> with one fist to Theo but signs with the subtitles back to him 'good to see you too. Great outfit.' While few sign he does at least find ability to provide his own subtitles- not that it's easy to hear over the music entirely.
Looking to Aisley his eyebrows arch, not that anyone can tell because his face is a black hole with a row if teeth showiing in a cut out that is likely amused grin. 'Always happy to give cameo fodder. If you do dream imagery and stuff we should talk. Doing a walking walkthrough as a project. Would love for you and Mac to test that.'
Looking to Aaron joining them he takes his drink pulling out his employee ID tso he can run his tab. He signs back, still with letters floating, 'Aaron you are just in time. things about to get wicked. That looks like it would take me forget do it. I dig it. Rune, love the metalwork. I might ask to borrow that.'
Right now there's the drink and motions for the others to hit up the dance floor. He might be dressed as a wraith of existential dread but he's still vibing with the music living his best life tonight.
"Awesome! I'll let you known when its going to happen and hopefully you can come decorate some cookies." Aisley tells Theo, her drink now in her hand, she takes a small drink from the straw it came with, and give an approving thumbs up to the bartender over the music that is being played.
Attention grabbed by Robin and his 'words' she grins with delight, "That'd be awesome. Count me in for dreamy imaginary walking walkthrough things!"
Ruby's announcement has her turning towards the dance floor, seeing some people moving in that direction, "I'm going to go dance too." Saying to Theo or anyone else around her and starts after Ruby goes that way.
Hiding a spot on the dance floor where she can easily move around with a drink in one hand and the fabric of her dress in the other.
Satisfied to wait on a drink, Rune moves to the music like she's a couple minutes from hitting the dance floor. She smiles back to Aisley, waves hello to Ruby, and slides off the stool so she can dance by the bar while she waits on her drink. She keeps it light, lest she jostle anyone's drink, mostly shoulders and hips. "Thanks," Rune calls to Theo, "I like your shimmer!"
She takes her drink with her, "I'll join," she says to Ruby, and makes her way out onto the floor. Drink in hand, she can both dance and sip. She can get a surprising amount of body sway into those hips while both sipping a drink and not spilling it, singing along softly too. Her voice is raspy, but not loud enough to compete with the music.
"It's yours," Rune calls back to Robin, "Remind me later." She's halfway through her drink before the song's over.
Here comes Wren, a new face around the park who you may have seen doing plumbing work if such a need has arisen in your little slice of Spellbound. His only attempt to match tonight's theme is a black tshirt he is wearing over a long sleeve flannel underwear shirt. The tshirt depicts a sheep sleeping comfortably on a bed covered with a blanket and a thought bubble above him showing sheep jumping over a fence in a field. He has that look of someone who has entered a social situation not knowing a soul. He eventually makes his way to the bar where a bartender gives this baby face dude a serious glare. With a sigh Wren says to the bartender in a thick Brooklyn accent, "Lemme get whatever you have on tap."
The bartender breaks into a smile and laughs a bit. "Are you serious?" He looks around expectantly. "Are you trolling me? Lemme see some ID."
Wren is used to this so he tugs his wallet out of his front pants pocket without complaint and tugs his drivers license out and hands it to the bartender. The bartender looks at the ID then looks at Wren then looks at the ID then looks at Wren. He shakes his head and gives the license back to Wren. "No, no way. Something is wrong here."
With a small sigh Wren just gives up and says "Whatever. Just gimme a Coke then." When he gets the soda he just starts to stroll a bit.
It doesn't take long for Brandon's eyes to spot Ruby moving toward the dance floor and-- away from the bar? Oh, the tragedy. Choosing between your girlfriend and a drink after a long day of swordplay, riding and doing generally strenuous and exhausting things? It's a Catch-22 and it's terribly unfair, but Brandon never believed in the no-win situation. Catching the eye of one of the bartenders, he touches his chest, points to the top shelf.
The bartender in question arches an eyebrow, pointing to the Grey Goose.
The white knight flashes a thumbs-up and that annoyingly charming grin that nearly got stuck on his face after four-hundred twenty-six selfies earlier today. Then he begins making his way through the crowd toward where Ruby is dancing with the likes of Rune, Aisley and others. It's a crowded floor. This is going to take a minute.
Catching sight of Alan's nod, Blaze smiles and wiggles her fingers in a wave. Since he seems to be more than a little busy, she settles herself at the bar, and orders herself a glass of whiskey on the rocks. Once the drink is slid in front of her, she wraps her fingers around the glass, and settles back against the bar, her attention shifting over the crowd.
Aaron grins looking at Robin as he signs to him, ** Look at you! You look great! ** he looks him over with his blue contact eyes. A grin slips over his lips as he is already moving to the music a bit as he stands there talking. He nods to the others that are there with Robin as well, ** I'll join you out on the dance floor. ** He looks to show his ID card and gets a drink before heading to the dance floor to join Robin and the others, a bright shy smile on his face.
Ruby is more than happy to have buddies! She introduces herself to those she hasn't met yet. The beat of the music easily takes over her body, paired with the light, almost floaty feeling that has swept over the crowd. "Normally, these types of places smell kind of sweaty," she says. "Is it weird that I feel like... does it smell like jasmine?" She laughs. "Not that I'm smelling any of you, but..." Was she alone in this?
Ruby reaches out to spin whoever is closest, her hips keeping up with the beat. Between songs, she cheers loudly for Alan.
"This drink is hitting the right spot." Theo murmurs to those around him. He thinks he's feeling the effect of the drink he is having and not that magic could be lingering in the air causing this reaction to him. He doesn't mind it and gives off a lazy smile for it.
When Aisley says she is going to the dance floor, Theo follows her and the others. Not a care in the world.
The more she dances the more she relaxed she gets, maybe it was the drink? But Aisley hadn't drank that much, but she felt good in the that she felt relaxed and happy and her body was moving to the music. "I smell it, I thought maybe someone had some perfume on?" Aisley calls over to the music to Ruby.
If Ruby was offering to spin people, Aisley steps up for that and she twirls, her hair flying around her as she does - mingling with her laugh and maybe... a few pieces of leaf falling from her hair.
Along his path towards the dance floor, Brandon stops at a high-top table near the bar not far from Wren or Blaze. There, he divests himself of his white cloak and the 'sword' part of his swordbelt, neither of which are particularly conducive to the evening's activity. These, he leaves draped and hung, respectively, on a tall, high-backed chair so that neither touches the floor with so much as a tip. Then he leans into the bar, exchanging a card for a cocktail glass with a double of straight vodka that he knocks straight back and immediately returns.
Thus fortified, Brandon lifts a hand in a lazy salute to Alan in the booth and begins drifting out into the dancers. He moves with a lazy, effortless grace, not really dancing but not really walking. Maybe his eyes go a little hazy; maybe his movements become a touch more languid. It's hard to say if one's not watching closely.
The next song that plays takes the mood in a slightly different direction as all those pale colors shift to something a little bit darker as Night Walk begins to play. The colors shift and the air takes on the scent of petrichor, that smell of rain, though no rain falls. The greys and blues are now punctuated by deeper violets and purples as the energy in the room takes on a kind of anticipation, excitement, that feeling of something about to happen, a little thrill running down the spine. Shadows seem to move through the dancers on the dance floor, dancing with them, dancing around them, before turning into so much mist.
From his place in the booth, Alan gives a wave to Brandon when he notices him out there. His sharp teeth flash when he smiles, into this current vibe.
"If someone does, I need to know what it is," Ruby says as she spins Aisley, watching as the fabric of her dress moves under the lights.
As the scent of petrichor descends upon the crowd, Ruby's head falls back in bliss. She loves that scent. Her body continues to sway to the beat. It's around the time that she expected Brandon to show up after his shift, and she glances back toward the bar and grins, spotting him. "I'll be right back," she tells her dance partners.
It takes a moment for her to navigate through the blissed-out crowd. Her drink is half full now, and her tongue is stained blue from the curacao.
"Oh shit," Rune says softly, when the music changes. She quick finishes her drink and finds somewhere safe on a table nearby to put her glass, then slides back into the dance floor. She takes a deep breath of the lingering florals misting through the club and says to Ruby, "Smells like a lush night garden, sweet moon blooming—" She takes a slow glance around, and when no obvious source of the scent easy to spot, she continues to dance, looking from Ruby to Aisley and lifts a shoulder just as the scent of petrichor finds them, body relaxing into the music. Her eyes slip closed again.
"This is a mood!" Aisley says, the Night walk coming on and she grins, her hips swaying to the music after she comes back from the twirl that Ruby just put her in. The scent of rain is caught and it gives her all the feels. The good kind that leaves her happy, and excited in the way that something shivers down her spine with anticipation of something good soon to come.
"Ok!" she calls back to Ruby as she says she's going to be back. Turning her body to take up the space Ruby was leaving and sees Rune come up and find her way toward her, she overs another smile and sees that she's into the music as much as she is, keeping close to her while the mood of the music takes them both, though Aisley doesn't close her eyes.
Does Theo have a dance partner? Cool, cool. If not, he's just going to dance to the music in his head with the help of Alan as he drifts along to the song that is playing now. Eyes closed. Maybe this one is dreaming, and this atmosphere is helping him along.
<FS3> Brandon rolls Grit+Power: Success (8 7 5 4 2 1)
Shirley grabs her drink and begins to make her way to the dance floor, care to not spill it as she starts to dance to the music. A few giggles escape her lips as a shadow swipes quickly by her.
Wren makes a slow stroll around the room, watching various people here and there as he does. He drinks the last of his Coke and sets the glass down. When his circuit of the room takes him near the door, he casually walks back outside.
Although he moves with the prevailing vibe, it's a not-particularly-blissed-out Brandon who's tracing those lazy half-circles through and among the revelers. The double vodka helped. His flashing blue eyes light up as he spots Ruby coming his way. There's still maybe fifteen feet between them, and half as many clubbers swirling and twirling in that space, but when his gaze meets hers, the white knight lights up like it's Christmas morning.
The music gets creepy, the vibe gets creepier, and Robin is entirely here for it dancing and drifting with the music. He signs up to Alan in the booth <<Even better than last week. Amazing!>> Robin waves for Shirley to come and join he and Aaron and the rest from her candy land dream. He, the void, and his worries willingly get lost among the song, the shadows, and the other people dancing and enjoying how thee right song can turn your brain right off.
Since her eyes were still open, Aisley saw Theo close by, his own eyes closed just like Rune's had gone. Both of them lost to the music, and since she was watching everything with dreamy eyes she slid up closer to both Rune Theo. Who knew what would happen if they all closed their eyes?
"Make you feel like dancing in the rain, right?" She calls out to Rune and Theo, taking another sip from her drink and letting the music move the rhythm of her body.
Ruby's pace slows, and she does a little spin as she makes her way over, showing off the low back of her dress and the little wings she found in costuming. They hadn't coordinated their outfits intentionally, but there was a vibe. She stops about five feet away, and beckons for him to come with her finger. She then nods toward the dance floor. She wasn't about to get stuck at the bar.
Aaron gets out on the dance floor after downing his drink letting the music take him over, his senses set on fire as the things start to change and the smell of the flowers hit him. His eyes flutter closed as he starts to dance, his body moving in beat to the song, losing himself in the moment. If he is near anyone close he gets a bit closer and just dances having a good time.
Shirley easily moves through the crowd towards Robin, happily smiling as she signs with one hand, <<Hey. You look amazing.>> She finishes off her drink and hands it off to a server already walking around with a dirty tray so she can dance freely without worrying about spilling her drink on anyone.
Rune brushes Aisley's arm, and reaches up to touch her shoulder in apology, eyes closed dancing does have a few small dangers in it. She smiles and resumes moving, careful not to crash into anyone, though both Theo and Aisley are noted spatial awareness can only go so far when the song hits just right. For the moment everyone's spaced out enough. When the beat takes off on another songs, all bets are off!
"It does," she says to Aisley. "I would, too." Dance in the rain. Like Aaron, she'll dance with anyone feeling the vibes of Alan's playlist out here on the floor.
Brandon O'Donnell is a lot of things, and helpless to resist that gesture, from that girl in that dress, is one of them. He falls in behind Ruby, stepping a half-measure more quickly than the dancers around them in order to catch her up as she moves back onto the floor. His left hand gets to her first, settling into the small of her back just above where the dress itself dips, but he doesn't say anything-- anything audible, at least. The shadows flitting around them briefly draw an arched eyebrow, but he has eyes mainly for his girlfriend at the moment.
Theo has that look on his face as if he smoked so really good. He doesn’t go that route. At least this doesn’t make him paranoid. If his hips hit anyone in his slow moves it’s not intentional. A warm smile for both Aisley and Rune. The music flowing through him. His mostly drunk drink got out somewhere. When that is done he’s back to closing his eyes.
If the Night Walk was the anticipation, then Ghost Voices is the release of that energy as the colors and lights shift again. Now the hues become bright and electrified, the shadows slipping away replaced with glowing motes of light in pastel shades of the rainbow that seem to flicker in time with the overhead lights, matching the beat of the music as it increases in speed and the dancing becomes more energetic. Everything is a little bit heightened, electrified, energized.
Alan keeps an eye out on the dance floor, watching the crowd as it moves. He occasionally leans down to talk to whoever comes by the window to the DJ booth to talk to him, taking a swig from his bottle of water and always moving along to the beat. Tonight, he seems to be staying in the booth rather than coming down into the crowd, but that doesn't mean he isn't still having a good time.
They haven't quite made it back to the group yet when the lights shift. Ruby's eyes are cast up, watching in awe as the shadows slip away and glowing wisps flicker overhead, pulsing to the beat of the music. "This is amazing," she says as she turns her attention to Brandon, all smiles. "You look amazing," she tells him, and leans up on her tiptoes to quickly brush her lips to his cheek.
When they return to the group, she's quick to introduce him to those she's met so far. The vibes are immaculate and Ruby's hips can't seem to stop swaying languidly as the beat goes on.
Brandon doesn't know anyone so it's an easy thing to favor those named to him with nods and friendly smiles, calling back to Ruby, "Thanks! Alan knows his shit, doesn't he?"
Though a more eloquent assessment of a DJ's skills may never be given, Brandon means well. He's just a rocker, and that's how they talk. He lets himself melt into the flow of the rhythm and the eerie, now-more-energetic sounds filtering in over the sound system. On occasion he sways rather purposely into Ruby, grinning her way when he does so, though as often just letting himself go and having fun.
"Oh, Don't even worry about it, Girl." Aisley says to Rune when she apologizes, "Sometimes the tunes just get you and you need to let them take over." She looks over at Theo and he seems happy and she laughs a little, but then... so did she. She hadn't even finished her drink but she felt good.
"Too bad we don't know someone that could make it rain right now," She says to Rune... Just about the time the music changes to something more Ghost like, for a moment her movements pause as she listens to the tune. Changing her movements to go with the new rhythm. Shifting from relaxed to more energetic and she starts to bounce in place. "Yeah!
<FS3> Robin rolls power: Success (7 7 5 5 5 3 3 2 2)
It definitely is one of the songs that make you want to bounce. So Theo does that. He opens his eyes again and notices that Aisley had the same idea, telling her, "Great minds think alike!" He will even raise his hand up in the air. Bounce, bounce, bounce! The energy here tonight is soooo good!
Robin turns to Aisley and Rome leaning. There's a brief tap to Aisley's shoulder then pointing upward. Cupping his hands to his lips he concentrates and then lifts black fingers to the ceiling and for the next minute a soft rain comes down; felt, but not dampening clothes or making a mess, just the look of it and the touch of the the illusion meeting skin.
The grin widens with a hattip to her and he's back to dancing. As the music falls into a bounce he's up on his toes and looks to Aaron <<Not my best work but not bad!>>
As the ran begins to patter down, Ruby grins, her head tilted up toward the heavens. It's a vibe. Ruby turns in Brandon's arms, her arms slinking up around him and draping rather lazily. "If I got up on stage, do you think Alan would let me press buttons?" She asks. That must have been a strong drink!
Aaron hands go up in the air they start to bounce, looking up to the ceiling his eyes twinkling in the dim lights. He does a small twirl and then continues to dance, he does not mind being close to anyone dancing, he enjoys the closeness. Looking to Robin with a smirk << It turned out great. >> he is happy that he decided to come to the club.
There's a little bit of startlement on the dance floor as rain starts to come down inside the club. At first, some think it's the sprinkler system, but when it can be seen and felt but isn't getting anything actually wet, there's a cheer that goes up as the song shifts over to Thank You - Not So Bad and the swirling haze on the dance floor begins to clear, instead replaced with the flash of illusory lightning, a low rumble, and the rain that continues to fall. And while the floor looks wet, glossy and reflective.. it isn't.
Theo is also an illusionist but not as good as Robin, and the song's change has him opening his eyes again to see what is happening and catching the subtitles that Robin gives off. "Excellent work as far as I am concerned!" This said in the direction of Robin. This has become quite the night, and he is here for it. Grinning at the next song and the mix it brings.
"Did you do this?!" Aisley replies to Robin when he touches her shoulder and makes her look up, the rain starts to fall, she's dancing in the rain and she bounces around in it that much more. Good thing she wasn't wearing shoes and was barefoot, she might have broken an ankle or something. The laughter that follows shows that she is high on something.
Turning she hugs Robin "Thank you!" Then she dances back away and bouncing even more, cheering on with Theo as they both bounce-dance to the song being played.
The next change of song brings her back to a more slower beat, her heart beat winding down from jumping up and down, the lights playing tricks on her mind and she looks up at the rain that is still falling, relishing it.
"That's the truth," Rune says to Aisley, the newest tune putting a little more bounce into her dance, she finishes off that next song in company on the dance floor, then grins and says, "Need a drink." She dances her way off the floor under illusory rain, arms up as if she could catch it, the rumble of thunder above a total vibe. She taps Robin's shoulder as she goes and shakes her head. "You're invited if I ever host a party." Indoor rainfall that doesn't ruin your clothes?
Absolute magic.
A tipsy Ruby in his arms, asking about pressing buttons. It's so hard to hear anyone in here above the music, difficult to socialize or make connections when you're out on the floor-- and of course that's kind of the point-- but it means Brandon's attention is wholly focused on his girlfriend and her questions. "Well I would," he admits with a laugh, "but if it was a Silvertones show--"
Then it's 'raining', only it's not, and he pulls her in close, though still moving together. "I don't know how they do what they do in that booth," he admits. "But this is one hell of an effect!"
Shirley continues to dance nearby to where Robin and Aaron are, watching the effects around the club with a fond smile.
Robin's bouncing there like his heart's never truly left the rave. Theo's question gets an upnod. He leans to return Aisley's hug in a clash of black and white for a moment. He gives her a spin to return her to her rain dancing. Signing back to Rune with the captions floating, and dripping like a window, 'lmk when. I'm there. srs'
There's a grin to Aaron dancing in his space and he dances with but signs back to Brandon with more captions 'Escape is magic, dude.' It's always a thrill lately at these things. With the lightening overhead Robin looks up; his face presently a gaping void with eyes floating int eh darkness, widening with wonder. He did noooot do that. Excellent!
It's only as the song begins to come to a close that the rain begins to ebb, eventually vanishing away and so too do the clouds and the lightning and thunder. Gradually the club returns to its regular lighting and the haze of emotions lifts, leaving everyone feeling strangely refreshed.
The music continues on into the night, rising and falling through fast-paced trance beats that have the whole floor moving to slower, more ethereal vocals that rise and fall and leave people swaying to the music.

Rune dances all the way back to the bar, leans in to have a conversation with the bartender, and sends a drink up to Alan, leaving her tab open as she goes, and then the tall, orange-haired nightmare heads across to find the ladies room and touch up her makeup. She leaves the floor for a while to cool down, and should be back to enjoy another drink before closing down the dance floor with the other revelers tonight.
Aaron looks to Robin grinning as he moves in closer to dance with him, hands in the air, and for the first time in a long while the young man lets his worries go and lets himself have a good time. He finds himself lost in the wonder of it all, the beat to the music, the rain the smells. His senses are on fire, his body electrified he does not want this to end any time soon. ** You did that? ** he signs to Robin as they dance in close to one another.
Brandon doesn't know sign language but somehow, he's able to catch the gist of what Robin signs to him. Nodding in return, he points up to Alan in the booth and grins before spinning Ruby around once and catching the blonde lightly in his strong arms. "Alright then, let's go before it really starts raining in here," he tells her. From there, it's not long for them to gather up their respective things, settle their respective tabs, and head out into the night together. They both wave encouragement to the DJ in their different ways, and then they're gone.
Theo grins at Aisley one more time. "I'll let Esme know about the cookies. It was good to see you tonight. I think I better call it a night." As it is, he probably wants to text the Ice Princess anyway. He gives nods to all he knows as he makes his way out, and he's already pulling his phone out.
She laughs as he spins her. Her heels make it quite treacherous business. She says her goodbyes, and starts making her way out.
Shirley waves bye to the familiar faces she recognizes and then begins to make her way out in her candy woman costume, happily skipping off into the night.
