It's Sunday and Artemisia has texted some friends to join her for 'not at all Valentines' drinks. The petite blonde sits at the bar, idly scrolling her phone as a deep purple drink sits next to her on the bar. She's dressed up for an evening out in a doll pink dress with puffy sleeves that gather at the wrist in ribbons, white lace tights, and a pair of thick soled black boots.
Ravin is not quite in sweats, but is wearing stretch-velvet pants and a soft-looking sweater the color of their eyes. They stroll over and settle next to Arte. "Three-show days always leave me simultaneously wired and exhausted." They smile tiredly at the bartender. "Surprise me with something fruity."
"Gosh, yeah," Artemisia sympathizes. "I have been there. Today is my off day so I wanted to do something social before I had to go back tomorrow. The rest of the day has been grocery shopping and the like. Did the shows go well?"
The Spookeasy isn't Kellin's typical haunt for drinks, but he wasn't going to turn down an invite for some social drinking, socializing, well he manages well enough most of the time.
He didn't necessarily dress up for the occasion, but his jeans are dark and lean more toward dressy, and he has a button down with a v-neck sweater over it. "Heya Arte." He takes the stool on the other side, so Arte is sandwiched between Ravin and himself. "And friend." Since he hasn't had the pleasure of meeting Ravin. The cane is leaned against the bar between his knees.
Ravin grins and collects his drink with a thanks. "Oh, yeah. The show is great. I really like this style of music and enough time to settle in a bit, but short enough runs that you don't burn out on it too badly. My days off are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Which is a little odd, but works." Kellin gets a considering look and a slow smile. "Ravin. Pleasure to meet you."
"Kellin, Ravin. Ravin, Kellin," Artemisia introduces with a chipper smile. Then, she lifts her purple drink and takes a sip. "How are the seas of the lake today, Captain?" She wonders to Kellin. Never mind that makes absolutely zero nautical sense. "My off days vary, really. It all depends on schedules so they've been shifting from week to week." She takes another sip. "Man, this is yummy. Kellin, what are you drinking?"
"Pleasure." Kellin agrees, his return smile is is softer, but no less warm. If Arte wasn't between them he would offer a hand, but introductions can be awkward enough so he doesn't make the attempt. "Days off? I get some of those, but they are rarely in a row."
Arte gets a huff of amusement at her phrasing "There were no drunken fights, and I didn't have to call in a cleaning crew, so I call today a win." As for drinks. "I think I will have an old fashioned." Which he orders when the bartender comes over to get his order.
Ravin laughs. "Well, now I'm sorry I didn't say 'Hello, Sailor'." He sips his own drink. "This is good. No idea what it is." Arte gets a smile. "I do like having a fairly set schedule, makes it easier to plan, at least."
"Same." Artemisia sighs at the idea of a set schedule, propping her chin on a hand. "They have me moving around the park so often that I'm rarely in the same place for two days. Guess that's what happens when your job is musical background," she jokes, dark eyes flickering with pink. Her dark gaze slides towards Ravin. "I think you'll make Kellin blush." Turning towards him, she tips her blonde head. "Although, I'm sure you've heard it all before."
"Well there is always next time." Kellin offers to Ravin. "We can pretend this bit of the conversation never happened." the bit of crooked smile suggests he is at least amused, though sorry there is no blushing. Maybe he has heard it all before.
As his drink is delivered he offers a thanks to the bartender before taking a sip of it. "Are you a performer too, Ravin?" he asks, that seemed to be the context clues from the conversation he came in on, but it never hurts to confirm.
Ravin grins and waggles his eyebrows at Kellin. "Oh, I'll be sure to take advantage of it, next time. And yes, I'm part of the new..ish.. show at the Amphitheater, Some Enchanted Evening. I sing, mostly."
"Ravin is fantastic," Artemisia says with a bright smile. "I got to play accompaniment one day and it was a real treat."
"Looking forward to it." he lifts his glass to Ravin before taking another sip of it. "Jazz?" Kellin questions with sincere curiousity "The early stuff, or the more bluesy stuff that came later?"
He looks to Arte and her complimenting of the show "I'll have to come check it out the next time I have a day off. Evening show or is there several over the course of a day?"
Ravin laughs. "Some. More showtunes and Great American Songbook, which... might partially count as jazz, depending on how you count. We do some more proper, but old jazz, and the occasional folk tune. Next month, we've got Danny Boy in the show, also When Irish Eyes Are Smilin'. We've got two shows Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - afternoon and early evening. And three shows Saturday and Sunday. Though sometimes we shift things around. You can always check the daily schedule."
"Oh that'll be lovely. Kellin, let's go together," Artemisia suggests with a smile and a sip of her cocktail. "You two'll have to come when I play here." She nods towards the pianos which sit empty for the moment.
"When it comes to music, I am more versed in the broad genres. You've probably forgotten more about music than I have or will ever know." Kellin may be knowledgeable about somethings, music isn't it. "Two solid song choices for representing a segment of the Celtic culture."
"I'm game for that Arte, just let me know when." he glances toward the pianos "I'm down for that too, you are welcome to join me for that, Ravin."
Ravin grins and lifts his glass to the other two. "I will absolutely come watch you play. And if times line up, join Kellin."
