It's a mildly chilly February day on Crescent Island. There is a natural unseasonably warm note in the air combined with the park's magically-enhanced climate. So people are outside enjoying the day and perhaps even trying to will Spring into existence. Josh came to the park with Aaron today. He is wearing black Adidas sweatpants, a white L.A. Rams sweatshirt, and beat-up white Adidas runners on his feet. As he walks toward the park alongside Aaron, he is bouncing a soccer ball back and forth between his knees.
"Well, you know, I don't play professionally," he quips humorously to Aaron. "But I know my way around a soccer pitch."
Ravin has apparently brought their snugglebunny to the park, possibly to search for their match. They've got on a velvet duster and a knit hat over velvet pants. The do pause, though, to watch the soccer ball bouncing. Even as their bunny sings and listens.
Aaron is enjoying the day as he walks along with Joshua, a smile on his face and there is just this glow about him. His hair is partly pulled up if he is going to be running about his hair has got to be out of the way! Dressed in a Dragon Ball Z t-shirt with grey swears on and an old pair of sneakers on his feet as well. Aaron has a book bag hung over a shoulder he brought his camera with him just in case, plus he has critters to carry around as well.
"I was on the team back in high school, and had a lot of fun playing." he grins, "Its been a bit since I done anything, I am a bit rusty."

"You'd kick my butt at soccer then," Josh notes with a casual tone. In fact, he almost loses the ball with one of his knee bounces and he has to run a few feet to his right to correct. But he manages. Barely. He moves closer to Aaron again as he does his curious knee-ball-bounce walk toward the park. His unruly hair is particularly wild and his cheeks are flushed with positive vibes and youthful vigor.
Then Josh hears a snugglebunny singing! The soccer ball hits the ground as Joshua peers straight ahead with an open-mouthed smile on his face. "Sick! That person has a one of those pink animal thingies like CC and Five!" Josh exclaims to Aaron. "Let's go check it out." Josh breaks into a trot in Ravin's direction, kicking the soccer ball in front of him as he does. He passes it to Aaron as he runs.
When Josh gets to Ravin, he stops. He gives off golden retriever vibes like big time. "Hey!" he says enthusiastically to Ravin, chin-nodding in Ravin's direction. "Me and my boyfriend have those too!" He gestures to Aaron.
Ravin grins at Josh and laughs. "Hey. Yeah, I'm told they have matches and I'm trying to get them out more to hopefully find theirs. Convenient for you to find a matched pair." He gives Aaron a nod and smile as well. "They are, apparently, showing up all over."

"You mean there is something I can kick your butt at?" he chuckles teasing Joshua as they move along to the park, there is a skip in his walk as he moves along the young photographer is in a good mood. He shoulder bumps Joshua trying to get him off balance but it fails, he grins at him sticking his tongue out.
Aaron looks over when the ball hits the ground and a raised brow goes up, there is movement and rustling in his book bag. "I think CC and Five hear it." he nods to Joshua and moves to follow after Joshua heading to where Ravin is. "Hey." he waves to them.
When they get there he slips the backpack from his shoulder unzipping it slightly and two small heads with ears peek out from inside looking around as they let their oongs ring out. "Aww look," he smirks as their pair of snuggle bunnies look around.
Josh looks over and smiles as Aaron opens his bag to let the babies stick their heads out. "Ours are like some kind of mated pair or something. All they wanna do is hang out with each other." He squats down and rubs his hands over their fun, though they are mostly looking for the source of the snugglebunny song they hear. Also, they are not pink. "See, ours turned kinda gray after they met. It happened over a few days." He shrugs a bit. "I think they're pretty no matter what."
Standing back up, Joshua nods to Ravin. "I'm Josh. This is Aaron."
Ravin's bunny looks over from where Ravin is holding them and sings their song, then wilts a little when the songs are wrong. They are still decidedly pink. Ravin pets their head. "Don't worry, Point, we'll find your match." He grins at the two humans. "Ravin. Lovely to meet you. And they are adorable, yes."
Aaron stands back up letting the little ones get some air and looks to the one Ravin has, "Aww, poor little one." he looks to Joshua with a smile as he leans on him a little, "Yeah, they don't want to be away from one another and all they do is snuggle and groom each other. It is adorable." he looks to Ravin, "Nice to meet you, Ravin, I know there are a few who are still looking for their pairs."
Joshua leans forward to get a closer look at Ravin's snugglebunny. "Awwww, they're adorable." He gently puts out a hand for the critter to sniff. He peers over at Aaron. "Remember when CC and Five were super pink like this?"
Standing back up, Josh considers Ravin. "Ravin's a really dope name," he notes, sliding his hands into his pockets. "It sounds, like, Middle Eastern or something?" He tips his head, peering at Ravin.
Ravin laughs. "It can have a couple of different origins. I think my mother just liked it. Though, depending on the origin it can mean either Sunny or Raven, which always seemed like opposites, a bit. Whereas, you both have nice Biblical names."
Aaron smirks looking to Joshua as his hands get tucked into his pockets and then his eyes go back to Ravin, "Have you figured out what the little one likes to eat yet?" Aaron smiles as his name is brought up and is called a nice Biblical name, his foot kicks the ground slightly as he seems to grow a little shy. "You can call me AJ as well."
A brilliant grin beams over Josh's face. "Yep, that's us. Just a priest and a spy roamin' the park being all Biblical an' shit." He playfully nudges Aaron's shoulder with his elbow.
But then a bomb is dropped! Blink-blink-blink-blink-blink-blink-blink-blinking, Josh slowly turns his head to look at Aaron. "Are you deadass serious right now?" he says as he laughs, brown eyes glittering. "How am I just now finding out that you go by AJ?" He looks back to Ravin and exclaims, "I'm always the last to know!"
Ravin laughs. "Anything sweet, they eat anything sweet. I've actually had mine for a couple weeks, now, more or less. I try to keep them to fruit, but they did manage to eat the entire stash of cough drops in my dressing room while I was on stage." He grins at the pair. "And do you prefer Aaron or AJ?"
Aaron grins at Joshua, "I don't normally tell people I have a nice name no one uses it." he blushes his ears turning pink looking back to Ravin, "Aaron is fine, though I have a funny feeling now the cat is out of the bag I will be hearing AJ more often." he looks to Joshua with a soft look then back, "Are you an actor or singer?" as they mentioned being on stage, "Yeah ours got into a jar of honey one night, that was a mess." he puts his hand on Joshuas's arm and gives it a soft squeeze.
"Yeah, AYE JAY," Josh says in his typical ballbuster manner. "Which do you prefer? Is it Aaron? Or maybe just A? Or possibly only J?" Josh is definitely going to take this new thing around the block a few times and have fun with it. He takes Aaron's hand when his arm is squeezed.
With a nod in Ravin's direction, he echoes Aaron's question: "Yeah, what kinda work do you do at Spellbound." He shrugs helplessly. "I just sell books at the Winding Vine, so nothing special there. AJ here is the creative one between us." His soft brown eyes gleam with enthusiasm as he pronounces 'AJ.'
Ravin looks amused by the interplay, then chuckles. "A little of both. Singer more, but it's a theatrical kind of show at the amphitheater. A musical revue more or less. Some Enchanted Evening, we do a lot of Broadway, some Great American Songbook, sometimes jazz or folk music as well. The exact show changes every couple of months. Currently it's mostly songs about love one way or another. Starting next month it's lots of Spring and Irish songs." Then he grins at Josh. "I do really like the Winding Vine. It's a good place to relax. At least until Point here starts trying to beg chocolate croissants off other people."
Aaron takes Joshua's hand there is even more of a blush that comes over his face when his nickname starts to get played with, he looks to Joshua the next week is going to be rough with names he can just feel it! "Aaron is just fine." he smirks as he looks over, "I take photos for the park, I also take them for fun as well." his free hand is tucked into his pocket.
"Oh I love music!" he smiles brightly now, "Josh we should go see one of the shows sometime, that be awesome." oh songs about love and then soon Irish songs! " That sounds like a lot of fun and yeah hanging in the Winding Vine is fun." he grins bbrightly
"If I'm working, Ravin, come find me. I always have lots of secret treats stashed around, usually from various free samples." He tips his head a bit. "What is the origin of the name Point for your little critter?" he asks Ravin.
When Aaron mentions seeing a show Joshua gives him a genuine and happy nod, like a boyfriend who would do anything to make Aaron happy. Well, anything but stop teasing him about AJ. That one is gonna ride for a minute, ladies and gentleman. He peers back to Ravin again. "Are the tickets hard to get? Like big waiting lists or whatever?"
No matter how 'warm' people said the day was, it was still too cold for the 'California Girl' Aisley. Walking by the Center Square she catches sight of Joshua's L.A. Rams sweatshirt and she grins, "Hey," she calls out slowing her pace from passing to pausing, "Like your sweatshirt, are you a fan?" Her eyes drift to the other people beside him and she lifts a hand in a wave, "Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt the conversation."
Ravin grin at Joshua. "Oh, well, I will definitely keep that in mind. And I named him after a character in Yeomen of the Guard who spends a lot of time pining. Also as a sort of joke on Counterpoint which is two melodies which blend together well. And there aren't really tickets. You just show up at show times and might need to wait in line, but I can probably get you into our reserved seating if you let me know ahead of time." He turns a smile on Aisley. "No interruption. They were just admiring my not-actually-a-bunny."
Aaron is standing near a book bag that's unzipped with two little grey-colored heads with longish ears poking out, he has a smile on his face as they talk to Ravin. When Aisley comes over he pulls his hand from his pocket and waves to her, "Hey, yeah no interruption." he looks to Joshua and grins, "That would be so awesome." he looks back, "Thank you, Ravin." he bounces slightly on his heels seeming excited now about going to see the show.
Josh opens his mouth and looks at Aaron. "Reserve seating?? Doooope." He beams back to Ravin. "That would be so sick. Thank you!" He takes his phone out, unlocks it, brings up a new contact page and hands it to Ravin. "Here, wanna put yourself in and text yourself so you have mine?" He gives the hand of Aaron's that he's holding an excited squeeze.
When Aisley approaches and mentions his sweatshirt, Josh looks down at his chest as though maybe he has forgotten what he put on today. "Oh yeah. I was born and raised in El Ay." He says the 'El' and the 'Ay' with some emphasis. "My dad and me go to Rams and Kings games like non-stop. He has season tickets to both." He chin-nods in Aisley's direction. "You like the Rams?" he asks with genuine curiosity. Josh has this way of radiating golden retriever energy. Many find his honest smile to be disarmingly candid.
"No way!" Aisley says excitedly and takes a step closer to the group, "That's so awesome. I'm from L.A." But she doesn't say it the way he did. There is a pause at question of liking the Ram's, she grins and then she nods, "Yeah, you could say that. I like all sports really, I went to Ram's games, Dodge games, Kings's games..."nodding in agreement, "My dad always got tickets from work. We didn't have season ticket though."
Both Ravin and Aaron graciously admit to letting her pipe into the group conversation and even tell her what they were talking about. Looking down at the Buns, "Oh you have one too! I have one, and my friend Angelo has one...
Ravin laughs and takes the phone, putting in his information (apparently his last name is Blackwell) and texting himself as well. You can hear the ding from his coat. He hands the phone back and chuckles. "I tend to like watching other sorts of sports. Figure skating, gymnastics, curling. And yes, I have one of the sugar-hungry, little, adorable monsters. I haven't found their match, yet." Point, said adorable monster, tries singing their song again to no avail.
Aaron watches Joshua and Aisley go back and forth about the Rams a small smirk coming to his lip, when he looks over hearing the phone go off in Ravin's pocket. "I look forward to seeing your Show, I do enjoy music." he sticks his free hand back into his pocket as he holds Joshua's hand, his thumb touching Joshua's knuckles as they stand there. "The passing of the ball is fun to watch, but I do enjoy soccer and hockey." now that's a rough game, he smiles. "Do you work in the park Aisley?" he asks with a curious tone in his voice.
A big smile blooms over Josh's features when Aisley announces that she, too, is from Los Angeles. "Deadass?" he says, looking surprised. "What part? I grew up in the Palisades." Oh. There it its. That explains the season tickets to two major sports franchises. Boy came up in money.
He accepts his phone back from Ravin and tucks it away in his sweatpants pocket. "Cool, man. I'm Josh Logan." He nods vaguely in the direction of where he heard Ravin's phone beep. "You know, for when you put me in your phone."
Releasing Aaron's hand, Josh sits cross-legged on the ground right in front of Aaron's open bag where the two now-gray snugglebunnies are watching the world go by. He touches one of the critters' head. It uses its front paws to grabby-hands at Josh's fingers. "This is Five." He touches the other little meeper's head. "And this is CC." He blinks and peers up at Aaron. "Is that right?" He looks back to the animals. "Wait, maybe this one is CC and this one is Five." He bites his lower lips and exhales.
"Pasadena," Aisley replies in kind to Joshua when he explains.
Looking over at Ravin she nods her head, "I named mine Dreamling, its only happy if he's snuggled up to my neck when I sleep." Though there is question in her eyes when she returns back, "Match? Are they supposed to be matched?"
Aisley probably didn't look like she worked at the park right now or if she did they wouldn't be able to tell where. She was dressed in an black zip up hoodie jacket, there was a white shirt that could be scene where the zipper was lowered, and it was over black pants and black/white Converse, "I do," says to Aaron, "I'm a Nanny over at the Resort, I take care of tourist children when I'm called to do it as a special request from the parents."
Ravin does, now, pull out his own phone and type that in, setting point down on the grass to go interact with CC and Five. "Dare I ask how they got their names? And yes, apparently, somewhere around, there should be another one which sings the song yours sings. When they find each other, they change color. Or so I've been told."
Aaron watches as Josh lets his hand go and plops down in front of the bag, he smiles as his now empty hand slips into a pocket for a moment and looks over, "Yeah you had it right, that's five and that's CC, we need to get those collars." he laughs and looks over to Ravin and Aisley smiling, "Oh nice, I do photography." he grins, "I named my little guy Cotton Candy cause that's what the color reminded me of so he or she is CC for short." he shakes his head, "But they changed color, but its okay still love the little critter to pieces."
As Point moves closer to the pair-bonded snugglebunnies, they both scurry out of Aaron's bag and move up to Point, sniffing them and allowing themselves to be sniffed. It's almost as if they sense the sadness of the bright-pink critter so they both starts to groom them for comfort. It's like a little spa day for Point! Still sitting cross-legged on the ground, Josh gets lost in watching the three of them. His eyes blinks several time in rapid succession. Someone must be cutting onions. Or maybe it's allergies.
Finally, though, he looks up. "Um, my friend Shirley suggested the name for Five. I was out for a run and when I was going past the fire house Five jumped out in front of me from a bush and I took a really nasty spill. So Shirl thought calling him Five for like five-alarm fire would be cute." He shrugs like maybe he feels that the explanation is lame.
"I hope you can find Dreamling's other half," Josh says softly to Aisley. "It's so sad to see them alone." Something about that statement makes Josh look up at Aaron and smile at him warmly.
"Is that right..." Aisley considers the new found information, "Huh... I'll have to check that out. I've only found the one." Looking down at the pair of bonded snugglebunnies and noting the color change that she's told they could experience. She too was interested in the names how they came about. Looking from Ravin to Aaron and then finally on Josh, "Thats adorable! I'm glad you found the pairs for them."
Snuggling that much closer to her hoodie and tucking her hands into the pockets that much deeper she says, "I'm going to get out of the cold, but thanks for letting me chat for a minute." Upnodding them instead of removing her hands from the pockets of her hoodie like a wimp. "See you all around."
Ravin also seems to be lost in thought watching the bunnies. He flashes Aisley a smile and gives her a wave, "Nice to meet you. I'm sure we'll be seeing you around."
