2025-04-01 - Chocolate chip pancakes

It's been a busy day, and Aaron went and found himself something to do for a few hours. Coming back into the park, he looks a bit different, with the recent blue light, it seems more of his animal features are showing. He has a longish, fluffy tail, his ears are much more rounded, his face is a bit more sable-shaped, maybe with pointy fangs for teeth. He is currently wearing old sneakers, ripped blue jeans, and a Dragon Ballz t-shirt with his hair pulled back, and he is splattered head to toe in very sparkly green paint. He looks tired, but there is a smirk on his lips as he walks a long with his hands tucked into his pockets.

Ravin is wandering through the court singing to himself. When he spots Aaron, he raises a eyebrow. "Dare I ask?"

Aaron looks up and grins, his tail sways a bit and his sable ears turn like little Antenna dishes, "Ravie!" he moves over in his direction looking down at himself and grinding, "I went and had some fun for a bit." he stops in front of his friend with that grin with his little fangs poking out. "I forgot how much I missed laser tag till I went and did a match of paintball." you can see small welt marks still and forming black and blues on his arm.

Ravin laughs. "Well, paintball does explain the green. I was wondering if I was going to have to start defending my wardrobe from some new park 'feature'. Laser tag seems like it would be easier on both clothes and body. I'd offer a hug, but I like this jacket and I'm not sure I can avoid all the bruises."

Aaron grins as he steps closer to Ravin, "Oh come on, the paint is dry only thing you may have to worry about is the glitter, this stuff gets ever where!" he grins and he looks at his arms, "Its not all that bad really, just a bit sore." he smiles and moves to slip a arm through ravins instead, "So where are we off too?"

Ravin grins and leans against Aaron. "Well, if it's dry. And glitter is an occupational hazard. I'll risk it." Ravin considers. "Back to crescent island and I'll make you a late-night snack?"

Aaron nods as Ravin leans into him, it only makes Aaron smile more, "Good, cause I want a hug." he grins and moves to hug Ravin, then takes his arm again, "A late-night snack sounds amazing right now!"

Ravin hugs Aaron back warmly and leads him off towards the ferry towards home. "Any particular kind of snack you want, honey?"

Smiles and leans into Ravin as they walk for the ferry, " I don't think so, what is your go-to when you want a late-night snack?" he asks, looking around at things as they head back home. "It could be anything, I worked up an appetite."

Ravin hmmms. "Well, if I'm wanting carbs, then pancakes. If I want protein, usually chicken wings. I'll switch up the sauces, though. If I want sweets, either ice cream or shortbread or both. Or brownies... I may have a lot of late night snacks. Also a job hazard."

Aaron Oohs, "Pancakes sound so good!" he gets a bit of a skip in his walk. "Can we do pancakes?" he lays his head on Ravin's shoulder, giving him this look, like omg the look on his face is sickling cute.

Ravin laughs and kisses Aaron's cheek. "Yes, cutie, we can do pancakes. With real maple syrup, too. Or I think I have ginger syrup. Do you want chocolate chips in them or blueberries?"

Tail sways happily as they walk along, there is a blush when Ravin kisses his cheek, and he grins more. "I have never had ginger syrup before, sounds good." he starts to hum softly, then ohs, "Chocolate chips, they are the best when it comes to pancakes."

Ravin grins. "Then you can try the ginger syrup, and if you don't like it, we have maple as back-up. Both go well with chocolate chips." He laughs and cuddles Aaron's arm a little more. "Someday, if you're very good, I'll make you the brownie waffles."

Aaron does not mind the cuddling, he enjoys the closeness, his eyes widen slightly. "Did you just say brownie waffles?" If he could drool right now, he would, but he won't it's not polite. "How did you discover making those?" his stomach gives a hungry growling noise, and he blushes.

Ravin grins. "There was a diner near where I used to live that did them. I figured out the recipe or something close so I didn't spend all my money there. But they take a bit more time, and more clean up, so tonight, pancakes. Also, I'd have to figure out which of the still unpacked boxes has the waffle iron."

Aaron grins, "Oka,y so next time waffles." he kisses Ravin's cheek this time and smiles as they walk along, he is most likely leaving a trail of glitter behind him or spreading it to Ravin, sharing is caring after all. "When we get back, be okay if I wash up?" he looks at his arms, "I like to not make your place look like a fairy threw up all over it," he smirks.

Ravin chuckles and smiles more at the kiss. "My place always looks a bit like there are fairies in residence, but yeah, you can clean up. I even have a robe you can wear if you want me to throw your clothes in the wash. Or you can borrow some sweats and a t-shirt. Well, stretch velvet pants and a t-shirt anyway."

Aaron chuckles and grins, "Thank you! You are the best Ravie." he hugs their arm tighter as they get closer to the ferry. "It feels so odd not seeing many people at the park, having it closed." he looks around, "I hope the inspection goes ok and we open again soon."

Ravin takes a seat to wait for the ferry over to crescent and tugs Aaron down with him. "It's..." He glances around. "Yeah, it's weird and too quiet. I'm guessing they'll get everything fixed and it will open back up." He glances over at Aaron. "So... the tail in human form is new."

Aaron gets pulled down onto the seat and chuckles, looking around, nodding. "I agree it feels wired specially after finding them pipes." he smiles looking behind him and nods, "I showed little signs of being a weasel before but hid them." he looks to Ravin, "But after the Earthquake and blue light they seem to be more present and why I am in the park its kind of cool not to hide them." he looks to Ravin. "Does it bother you that I look like a sable?"

Ravin laughs and reaches over to scritch Aaron's ear. "No, cutie, I always wanted a mink. If it comes in the form of an adorable guy who makes me laugh, even better."

Aaron's eyes close when his ear is scratched, " Oh good, cause I have another form I can take, I only have right now." he smiles, you think his sable is cute, wait till you see Stoat-Aaron! He looks at Ravin, there is a deep blush that washes over his ears and neck.

Ravin smiles. "Well, I look forward to seeing whatever forms you take in the future. And you may have pets in any of them any time you like."

Aaron smiles, "It was very relaxing the other day, I just needed to detach myself from everything, felt good to just roam." he smiles, looking to see if the ferry is on its way. "Have you discovered what you can do magically on the island yet?"

Ravin grins. "Lights and illusions mostly. Some small cosmetic kinds of changes to my features. And I can see how it would be relaxing to be able to be... not human for a while." The ferry can be seen in the distance, but it's still pretty small, they're running a more limited service while the park is closed.

Aaron smiles, "It was nade better with having a lap and settings." he leans into Ravin and sighs softly his eyes close while they talk, "Oh illusions are cool, are you able to change lights colors or?" then he opens his eyes looking to Ravin, "You are a changeling then?" he smiles again and closes his eyes hugging Ravins arm. "I think that's very cool."

Ravin laughs again. "Well, my mother always said I was. So I suppose that fits. Honestly, I can do bigger changes with make-up, but it does take longer that way."

Aaron smiles, "Remind me to show you some stuff I have done. " he opens his eyes, "In college I did some cos-play and got photos taken at events. " they smiles, " There not the best but it was fun. Most the times I was dressed as a male elf. "

Ravin grins. "I'll trade you some of my cosplay pictures. I... may have rather a lot."

Aaron grins wide, "I love to cos play, I haven't done it in a bit haven't had the time. " his feet tap the ground excited. " I can't wait to see them! "

Ravin nods. "I love it as well. Which conventions do you normally go to? I've got vacation requested for World Con, already."

Aaron looks to Ravin, "I have never been to a convention just part of a club in school. " he gets shy as he realises Ravin is a true cos player and he is a noob!

Ravin blinks. "Ooooh. Well, tell you what. If we're still on 'vacation' in a couple weeks, I'll drag you down to MiniCon. And if we're working again, then we can plan on Convergeance or I'll find out when some of the Wisconsin or Michigan ones are. There have to be a couple, right? Maybe we could go up to one in Canada."

Aaron nods, "That would be so much fun!" He nods his head moving to grab his phone and starts to scroll through images. " Here while we are waiting. " he hands his phone to Ravin and waits for his reaction.

Ravin flips through the images, studying each. "Oh, very nice. Original character or from a property I don't know?"

Aaron grins, "Original, I could never do someone else's character justice. I am not that good. " he clearly has no confidence in his cosplay. "I can't wait to see yours, I bet they are amazing. "

Ravin hands Aaron's phone back and pulls out his own, then pulls up an album of costumes for him to look through.

Aaron leans in, looking at the phone, "Ravie! You look amazing in that black and purple!" he takes his phone if allowed and looks at the image, "Wow, look at you!" he grins. "You look so good." he hands back the phone. "I should try and branch out some time, instead of always doing a half-naked elf," he chuckles.

"Well, you do half-naked elf very well. But sure. We can work on some other options. What shows do you like?" Ravin will absolutely let him take the phone and look through things. "Hmm, now I'm tempted to do a Mimbari or Narn costume."

Aaron Looks to Ravin with a bit of a side eye at his comment, a smile on his face, "I watch a lot of Anime and fantasy stuff, but I really like Farscape and now Babylon 5," he continues to eye the image of his friend in the purple.

Ravin hmms. "There are a lot of neat costumes in anime, but one does need to be a little careful. Still, we could probably find you something. Or we can figure out something fun from one of the sci-fi shows you like."

Aaron hands back Ravin's phone. "I look forward to it," he smiles. He leans into Ravin more; he is tired, and Ravin is right there. "Maybe some time we could look into having a park cosplay contest or something. That could be fun." he chuckles, closing his eyes again. "I should not be this tired," he smiles.

Ravin turns his phone off and tucks it back away. "We could at least have one for staff. Use the costuming experience levels they use at most conventions so the actual professional costumers don't just blow us all away. Or maybe we make them judge." He gives Aaron some more scritches. "It's been a stressful week. Things are changing. And you just went and played a usually very physical game. Of course you're tired."
