Prince Charmant (/ʃaʁ.mɑ̃/ ) is the prince of Lumota, the realm that is Spellbound.

There is absolutely no magic involved in Aurelius's appearance, though one could be forgiven for thinking there was. Someone had the bright idea to cross two breeds of horse and hit the genetic jackpot: the magnificent floof of the Gypsy Vanner, the almost-metallic coat of the Akhal-Teke, and a handsome and well-formed figure beneath both. Technically a palomino, the satin gene makes his coat shine like gold, and his pure white mane and tail flow like he's auditioning for a L'Oreal advertisement.
He won out in the temperament department, too, being of a particularly calm, friendly, and laidback disposition. He likes people, even children. He particularly likes people who want to give him carrots or apples. This (aside from the carrots and apples) may well be related at least in part to the fact that he's a familiar. If Austin's not worried, then Aurelius isn't either.
Pickle (the Second), Austin's second familiar, is a Golden Retriever, with everything that implies. Yes, she would like to play, please, and also go for a run, and also meet you. And that person. And that person. And play. And maybe go for a hike. Or a swim. And would you like to share that delicious-smelling snack with her, perhaps? Okay, how about throwing this ball, then?
She got her name for looking identical to his parents' dog, Pickle (the First), who helped him during his rehab with retrieving things and keeping his spirits up. Both Pickles are very good at keeping spirits up.
Austin's third familiar, Snow, is a male gyrfalcon. He's relatively small for his species, and an extremely light morph. As a traditional bird of kings, he's a perfect fit with the role of the Prince. Of course, Austin isn't actually a falconer, and Snow isn't what one would generally consider a pet, but the connection is there and he's decided to play along.

Prince Charming
As Prince Charmant of the park kingdom, Austin roams the park with his horse, Aurelius. Although he can occasionally be found anywhere, he's most often in River Village, looking for maidens and lads in distress to save and protecting his populace. One of the threats he aims to protect them from is the terrible dragon, and kids really enjoy hiding Flynt from him and trying to convince him the dragon isn't so terrible after all. Though they never seem to prevent a confrontation, it always breaks out in friendship in the end.
That's not as much the case with the Arena, where he acts as a royal sponsor and representative of the kingdom, sometimes facing off on Aurelius against the evil Duke von Raathe, pretender to the throne of Draugrheim.
Peanuts and Crackerjack
Baseball fans might recognize the name Austin 'Oz' Healey. He was called up to the Angels near the end of the 2022 season, but it was 2023 that really drew notice. As their third starting pitcher, he had a fantastic year: winning the league's Rookie of the Year and tying for second for their Cy Young Award, throwing a no-hitter, playing in the All-Star game. There was talk of him as a potential future hall-of-famer, and inevitably, he picked up the nickname 'The Wizard'. 2024 started with a lot of promise... and then there was a car accident, and though he technically went on the injured list, the talk didn't suggest he'd be back this season. Or next. Maybe not ever. That he's working here, now, might not bode well for it.
Let's Get Physical
Those who frequent the gym will probably run into him there pretty often; runners might come across him, too. He's still working on rehabbing his arm and shoulder, as well as just generally staying in shape.
Horse Sense
Do you like horses? Because Aurelius is fantastic. Just look at him. Maybe feed him a carrot. (He'd really like you to feed him a carrot, please.) Of course, no horse just rolls out of bed looking that good. Oz spends a fair bit of time in the stables, taking care of him.
Go Team!
Are you doing a thing? Do you need help? Company? Appreciation? Oz is a team player to the core, and not built to be solitary. He will happily bring his enthusiasm to whatever it is we're about to attempt!
If men are allowed to be blond bombshells, Austin may well be in the running. He's definitely got the blond part covered, in the form of a mass of loose curls, and at 6'4" with a decidedly athletic build, there's a strong argument to be made for the body as well. The jawline is strong, the lips full, the teeth nigh perfect, and the eyes the proverbial baby blue. The light sprinkling of freckles may not be fully on brand, but it's nonetheless easy to see how he got cast in a Prince Charming-esque role, particularly when he smiles and those dimples come into play.
There's a quality to him that tends to put people at ease -- perhaps that he doesn't always look clear enough on what's going on to be all that judgemental about it. Or, it might just be that he gives off a welcoming vibe, as though he's genuinely excited about the people around him even when nobody's looking.
