Xanthe

• Upon her arrival to Spellbound, Xanthe was 'chosen' by a pair of Familiars: Elke, a gyrfalcon and Minne, an osprey. Sensing something that Xanthe was in need of (that even she, herself, hadn't anticipated) ... the bond was swift and deep from the get-go. Between involvement in her (Xanthe's) aerial gigs and standalone displays in and around the park, these two raptors are fairly well known.

• Xanthe is a performer, recently relocated from another theme park on the Eastern seaboard. She loves what she does: aerial feats, either solo or alongside others. Often, she will incorporate her Familiars into her acts.

• She is the oldest daughter (one younger sister) of an American (mother) and German immigrant (father); she is completely fluent in German, despite not having an accent.

• Loves jigsaw puzzles.. REALLY loves them. That 1000 piece Kincade puzzle? Come at me bruh.

• Terrified of crickets, grasshoppers and locusts. Phobic, really. Want to see a woman who doesn't bat an eyelash at 60+ feet lose her absolute mind? Show her one.

• Great cook.. her father taught her well.

• Xanthe does not imbibe alcohol, due to an 'incident' eight years ago. Her struggle with this vice will not be alighted upon often in RP, as I (the player) recognize the triggers around alcoholism. It's purely backstory. (Her anniversary of sobriety: 01/13/2015.)

Where is your character from?

• Virginia Beach, VA

What brought them here?

• With the closure/disbanding of the performing arts centre that she was an avid member of, Xanthe was pointed in the direction of Spellbound Park when the opportunity had arisen. Xanthe places a great deal of personal worth (to a fault, even) on her abilities in a performance, so it was only natural that she pursued this new avenue.

Do they have any family/friends/connections of note here or elsewhere?

• No family or known (PC) connections in the park, but her family remains back in VA.

Do they have any goals/hopes/desires that they would like to fulfill?

• To do away with the dichotomy of her behaviors (a confident performer vs. an anxious woman off-the-clock) and simply find peace and contentment within herself.

• To help put her younger sister through secondary education. (As their parents' income has since become compromised.)

Do they have any enemies/secrets/issues that could cause them trouble?

• Nothing noteworthy, at this point in time. I'm sure as I get to know her muse better, something will evolve organically.

Xanthe Thielemann is a woman of average height, with a build that is suited for her high-flying occupation: compact, flexible and nimble.

The mysterious energies of the park have augmented her appearance in a manner that is reflective of her passion (and magic): unruly white hair that frames her features in bouncy, fluffy waves, only to taper off into an effect that looks for all the world like cumulous clouds, floating lazily up yonder. Skin? A healthy warm tone. Eyes? Amber, like the hue one might see in any bird of prey.

When she is not attired for performances, she favors simple denims and button-down shirts.
