Swirlies is half laundromat and half smoothie bar and is open 24 hours a day. On one side, there are an array of washing machines and oversized dryers fit for even the largest of comforters. On the other side is a seating area, children's play area, and a long bar with televisions that play random movies at all hours.
On the laundry side, there are some chairs for sitting and reading, tables for folding in between some of the machines, all white. The grey linoleum floor is regularly swept and kept clean, and small rolling baskets in vibrant colors can be used to transport loads from the washers to the dryers and folding tables. At the front, there is a window and cash register where one can drop off clothes to be laundered or dry cleaned as a service. The sound of laundry tumbling constantly rumbles through the place at a constant din.
On the other side of the building, past a window with frosted glass bubbles and suds decorating it here and there, one can see the long white bar with blue stools at it and a few small blue and white booths tucked at the back. The menu is lit up above and includes things like smoothies, boba teas, milkshakes, and fruit juices. There is no alcohol served at the laundromat. But there is also a kids play area where televisions play cartoons over a playhouse with several games, sets of blocks, and books to read.
