Brass Babies

Found almost, but not entirely, exclusively within the Mechano-Arcana Midway, these critters take forms that seem familiar but are uniquely their own. Though each shares the characteristics of brassy 'skin' and glowing blue jewel eyes, no two have appeared identical. In fact, the similarities pretty much stop with those two details, with one notable exception: They will all eat whatever food they come across dropped by park guests. Whether or not they should eat that food is a debatable question.

The brass babies are more similar to the mundane birds, small mammals, reptiles and amphibians they resemble than each other. Their temperament toward humans, sleep patterns, manner of movement, and even their sounds - though, with a metallic tone - feel familiar. It is a risk to approach them or attempt to handle them, and they are exceptionally heavy for their size (even the ones that can fly).
