Located In: Crescent Island - Deer Hollow
At the top of Deer Hollow is a roof garden that has been populated with a variety of flowering plants that are at the peak of their bloom throughout the spring and summer months. In the winter, there are some shrubberies that remain green, but the space is largely dormant. Still, there are places to sit and enjoy the view of the water and the island around the central greenhouse.
In the center of the roof is a large greenhouse that blooms year round with a selection of flowering plants and herbs grown within. The scents are enticing and the colors are beautiful. It is very much like a miniature version of the conservatories at the botanical gardens. Pathways lead between raised beds and around hanging planters. There are tools available to tend to the greenhouse in a small shed at the far end. At the opposite end is a small fountain that quietly burbles and a low stone bench that surrounds it for people to sit on and enjoy the warmth.
