Telekinesis

Description

This ability allows the individual the power to move objects with the sheer power of their minds. The items can be lifted, transported, and even hurled from one place to another as well as held in place. In combat, a telekinetic can create a barrier around themselves that prevents objects from entering which is useful against incoming physical attacks or hurl objects at targets, using them as thrown weapons. In this case, an object can also be a person or a creature provided that they do not exceed the weight limit.

This ability requires a roll to activate and determine for how long/far an item can be moved. If the item is being thrown, then the action is considered instant.

Success Levels:

  • Success: Movement for up to five minutes or thrown instantly.
  • Good Success: Movement for between five to fifteen minutes.
  • Great Success: Movement for between an hour to two hours.
  • Amazing Success: Movement for up to several hours.

Limits

This ability may not be used to lift, transport, throw, or otherwise manipulate PCs or NPCs owned by other players without their consent. An "object" may be a single object up to the weight limit or several smaller objects adding up to the same weight limit. Speed of motion decreases as total weight increases.

Levels
1 Objects no heavier than 10 pounds can be moved at a rate of no faster than 50 mph unless thrown as a projectile, which is considered instant.
2 Objects no heavier than 100 pounds can be moved at a rate of no faster than 25 mph unless thrown as a projectile, which is considered instant.
3 Objects no heavier than 500 pounds can be moved at a rate of no faster than 5 mph unless thrown as a projectile, which is considered instant.


Combat System

Telekinesis grants access to the "Telekinesis" weapon within the FS3 combat system.

  • combat/weapon telekinesis may be equipped at Level 1.
  • combat/weapon telekinesis+kinetic2 may be equipped at Level 2.
  • combat/weapon telekinesis+kinetic3 may be equipped at Level 3.
