Whether it's some kind of tiny hairs, sticky pads, frog fingers, or what have you, the individual has the ability to climb up to vertical surfaces and even across the ceiling in some cases. They are able to hold on where normal humans would otherwise be unable to without some kind of specialized equipment.
This ability does not require a roll to activate. It is considered an innate part of the individual's being.
This ability depends on the surface(s) being relatively dry and moderately stationary. Climbing a waterfall where water is actively falling and pushing one down or in a wind-tunnel or vacuum where other forces are working against the climber may adversely affect the ability at storyteller discretion.
| Levels | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Near-vertical surfaces can be climbed so long as there is some texture to grip. Glass, highly polished stone, slick walls and the like may not be possible. |
| 2 | Vertical surfaces can be climbed even without a textured grip. This includes glass, highly polished stone, damp cavern walls and the like. |
| 3 | The individual can crawl across ceilings upside-down, defying gravity, including all of the surfaces listed at previous levels. |
There are no FS3 combat commands for this ability. An ST may rule that a combatant using wall walking is out of range of melee attacks so long as they are not also using melee weapons, themselves.
