Here, surrounded by tall trees, a strange structure has been erecting itself. The brass-like creation has expanded significantly from the first time that it was seen and has created several additional structures. Some remain up in the trees while others are on the ground.

Estella Waverly, one of the newest employees at the park, has been tasked with overseeing the continued growth of the structure and to study it along with the other members of the Magical Studies group. She believes she knows what at least part of the structure might be, and she is here to see if there are those who can help guide it toward its potential purpose.

And so it is that the group gathers on the edge of the construction area, blue globes of light floating slowly here and there amid the structure as though monitoring its creation, themselves.

Estella is present, dressed in a pair of jeans and boots, a long-sleeved grey and black floral patterned blouse on, and a very bright yellow hard hat on her head in stark contrast with her otherwise dark wardrobe. She has a leather tube-shaped carrying case slung over one shoulder, and a small backpack on her back as she waits for everyone to gather.

Chase kept meaning to return to this house. Especially since she learned that one aspect of her magick could influence its growth. But work is work and life is life, which means this is the first time she's gotten a chance to come back to this wondrous anomaly. However, unlike her last visit, there is only the singular Chase. Physically, she may have recovered from her mishap. Mentally ... well that's another story altogether.

Stopping next to Estella, she shoves her hands into the back pockets of her jeans. Tucking a loose strand of blonde-streaked brown hair behind one ear, she whistles softly. "Looks like something's been busy."

Byron Fox is here as part of the Magical Studies group as well, dressed as someone would if they were investigating a crime scene, along with a cool hard hat on his head, because he wouldn't miss out on wearing one of those if given the opportunity. Worn over his shoulder is a canvas bag in which he carries his forensics material, just in case.

He has out a little notebook which he looks ready to scribble into, as well as viewing whatever notes he may have written about any of this prior to today. He even draws in any addition to the structure from the last that he'd seen it. Just little lines here and there added to the other lines he'd drawn.

"So let me get this straight, so that I'm on the same page. This all started after the earthquake, we'll call it," Byron's tapping the pen onto his tablet, "Or was it building itself prior to that? And if so," He looks up, "Has it's growth had a spurt since then?"

Joey plods along the trail, toolbelt, jeans, usual navy work coat with the park logo on the back. "Heeeeeey," he greets, "Somethin been eating its Wheaties. Wasn't this big a few days ago." he looks as one of his little pylons tipped over, likely from the rumbling or from some squirrel messing with it. With his shoe he tips it back up.

"Never seen anythin do this before. Some weeds and a tomato plant in the backyard once after a heavy rain but nothing like this." He looks to see if the others know of anything to repot. "It was flat ground before. Then a little building. now it's more building than the little built it was."

Elmo trudges down a path leading to the self-construction, undergrowth crunching under his boots. He rubs the bridge of his nose, jostling a pair of wide sunglasses, and then pauses a moment to sweep his gaze across the building. "Oh shit." He hadn't expected so much...progress? Expansion, at least.

Sitting on his shoulder, crouched against the denim fabric of his jacket, The Freak reaches out with a tiny rat paw to one of the blue orbs, waving just before Elmo turns to head in Waverly's direction. "It's a lot of building," he agrees, coming up behind Joey to join the group.

It is indeed a lot of building and it doesn't seem to be done because one can still hear the sound of whirring and clinking and shifting as things continue to take shape somewhere within the complex of structures. It still does not clear the top of the treeline above it, but those are some pretty tall trees. And it doesn't seem to be spreading outward any further at this particular moment, but it does seem to be building upon itself, more and more little walkways and rooms and outcroppings taking shape.

"Yes," Estella says to Byron. "All of this above-ground growth appears to be new since the earthquake. Everything below-ground extending out from the Siphon seems to have been happening over the course of the past hundred and fifty years or so. Which explains why the pipeworks can be found beneath all of the islands at this point." She nods to Chase in agreement. "It has been quite busy."

She smiles at Elmo and says, "Quite a lot. And I think.. in this octagonal structure here.." she gestures to a spot up ahead of them, ".. it might be trying to build this." She pulls out a blueprint from within the tube carrying case that she has and holds it out for them to see.

<FS3> Chase rolls Power: Success (8 7 5 3 2 2 2)

Chase closes her eyes for a second, then opens them as she stares at the structure and reaches out with her ability to influence and control machines. "Still with a purpose." A shrug. "Still open to influence, too."

When Estella breaks out a blueprint, Chase leans over and looks at it for a second before looking at her. "Wait. Where did that come from? You have some idea on what it's going to be when it's done?" She looks back at the structure, comparing it to what she recalls from the last time she was here.

Byron watches Chase curiously when she does whatever it is she does to the ever growing thing. Then she speaks. "What do you mean that it's still open to influence?" He then has to ask. "Like, if I said, 'Could you make me a Starbucks?' would it do it?'" A brow arches when he asks this of Chase and it remains arched for a while as waits for her response.

However, Waverly's bringing out some blueprint has Byron's attention finally drawn that way to take a look at the thing with a tilt of his head. "And what is that exactly?" Though even as he asks this, he's making a few guesses of his own.

Joey upnods to Elmo as he sees the familiar face turn up and then looks to Byron and Chase as their thoughts are vocalized and back to Waverly. "Octogon space? Good spot for a dinette set. What is that?" He doesn't seem to be following what 'influence' means and waits for the context clues. Looking to Byron talk about it like the Jetsons he looks back to Estella who may have an answer.

"We seen one of these happen before?"

Elmo, too, is curious about Chase's comment. "You want another Starbucks?" He eyes Byron for a moment, a new face for him, at least. It would be interesting to know if they could ask for something, at least.

Gently, he lifts his rat familiar off his shoulder and sets him on the ground. "Go, explore. Don't get into trouble." And away the critter goes!

"What have you got there?" This is for Waverly, who he steps up alongside to get a look at the blueprint. "This from that trip you took recently?"

"This came from a lab in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan," Estella explains to Chase, nodding to Elmo when he asks if this came from that trip that they took. "It is where we believe, the Siphon was being taken before it was lost at the bottom of the lake. There, it was to be combined with another item called The Looking Glass and together, they would work with the Revolving Door, to open windows, and possibly doorways, into other worlds." She taps at the plans and says, "These are the blueprints for the Revolving Door. I believe it's what they started to build but never finished at the lab." She then nods toward the structure ahead of them. "I believe that's what it's making for itself in there.. as though it's trying to somehow make what it can't find -- the remainder of its parts."

Chase glances over at Byron. "Last time I was here, I used the same magick I use to control machines to make the house turn a wall into an arched doorway. The construction is following some type of pattern, but can be overridden. Not sure by how much, though. All I did was make a doorway." She laughs. "I don't know if I could make a Starbucks. That might be a bit much."

She turns back to the blueprints for a second, then at Estella. "You mean like alien worlds? Or parallel worlds?" She shrugs. "I read a lot of scifi growing up."

When asked if Byron wants another Starbucks, he does a quick glance over at Elmo, before returning to scribble down into his notes whatever it is Waverly says, as he asks, "You don't?" Then adds, "I could go for a Venti Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso right about now."

He then looks over at Waverly, "So, do we want it to create what it can't find? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?"

Though at what Chase says, he lifts his chin, looking thoughtful, "We could always test it out? Right?" Yes, Byron's joking probs.

Being at least a little bit critical Joey says "Can't really call it a revolving window. Doesn't really work. sounds like an indecisive breaking entering job." With a passing look to Byron he squints as if either judging him or deciphering what he just said. "What happened to 'coffee black'?" He missed a bit.

Looking to Chase he asks on teh end of her question, "Like is it AI randomly generating or some predetermined program. Curious who wrote the program." Unable to really contemplate more on that he asks, "Is it rebuilding here now cause they dropped it and it can't move? I catching all this right?"

Elmo's lower lip quivers as he slowly shakes his head at Byron. No, no he does not want more of that in the world (it's probably delicious, though).

It's what Chase says that interests him the most. "No shit?" He looks at the house and its construction anew. "I wonder if two of us could make a Starbucks. Or, you know, a small independent coffee shop." Or direct the building to make one, or however this works.

Speaking of which, he looks at Waverly with a raised brow. "Do we?" He juts a thumb out to Byron, echoing his questions.

Estella smiles curiously when Chase says that she was able to alter the design of the building, "Did you? That's fascinating. And I believe that Mr. Kelly was able to alter one of the railings as well with one of his abilities. Maybe between all three of you, you can alter the shaping and what it is constructing."

"I'm not sure what sort of worlds. From what we've been able to decipher from some of the information we've gathered, it sounds more like alternate realities more than Stargate SG:1." She may have seen some Sci Fi, too.

"I think it's going to try to do it whether we want it to or not, and as the team that tried to take the Siphon found out, it really doesn't like us trying to uh, take it. So I think maybe we should learn as much as we can and see if we can understand it. If it will let us help shape it. Or change it. But in as, you know, a non-threatening way as possible. Because those divers that tried to take it seem to have been vaporized." No pressure!

"It's like it's preprogrammed," Chase says to Joey. "It wasn't like something external was in charge. It was just ... doing." She grins at Elmo. "I think we'd need to have some coffee shop blueprints to work off of. Unless you know the ins and outs of building construction, wiring schematics, plumbing, et cetera."

"Alternate realities. Those tend to be less pleasant than distant planets from what I've read. Regardless...." She arches a brow at Estella. "Do we want to let it continue on its own? Help it out? Or alter the program. I'm sure the three of us could definitely make serious alterations to the pattern if we worked together."

Looking to Chase he motions for her to join. "Check it out." He makes his way over a bit to the lower spot on the railing that makes a gentle S curve down, up, and back again on the banister. "Building grew but the little bend stayed I put there the other night. I was wondering if it was moved somewhere else as this place took off, but didn't. Felt stable so maybe it's like a tree-tree? Like hey it's gonna grow but we can splint it and hold it up. If it doesn't like that I'm about certain it'll let us fuckin know." Looking around he gestures to Waverly, "It vaporated like a bunch of divers so... its got opinions."

<FS3> Byron rolls Power: Success (7 6 5 4 2 2)

"I could just imagine myself sipping an iced shaken espresso in the meantime. I guess." Byron says, not trying to guilt trip the construction types. "How hard can it be to create a working building? I mean, pretty hard, or else we'd all be into real estate and building whatever we wanted."

What Waverly says has him pondering still, "So alternate realities? Huh. Nothing that can fu-- mess up our world question mark? Hopefully not. Question Mark again." He then glances at Chase, "I don't know, it could be interesting. And when has anything in an alternative reality tried to conquer earth huh? Don't answer that one, because I could be forgetting or missing a book or tv show or movie entirely now."

As he lets and listens to the others talk, Byron wanders to inspect one section of growth and he, too, looks to be focused on it. He's quiet, contemplative, even if his brows furrow at times, as if there's too much sun in his eyes (maybe he should steal Elmo's sunglasses), but at some point he just stares up at the construction and scratches at his head with the butt end of his pen.

"Well, if it's preprogrammed, it knows more than I do." As Chase pointed out, Elmo probably doesn't know enough to actually build a Starbucks. "But I bet we could help speed things up." He's looking at the blueprints when he says this, glancing between them and the construction to try and make sense of how far along it is, if he can.

Then, taking a step back, he says, "I think we should try it." Alternate realities? As if they're actually going to sit on the opportunity to explore them.

"We don't know," Estella says to Byron with a shake of her head. "There's no telling that it will even work once all of the parts are put together."

"I think we should at least go inside and take a look and see if it seems like it's actually building the same thing we found in the lab first, and then see from there," she says as she rolls up the blueprints to make them a little easier to carry. Then she nods toward the octagonal section of the building and heads in that direction, finally finding a door which, like the rest of the structure, is unlocked. Then she lets them in.

Inside, this large octagonal space descends in tiers toward a central location. There, they can see a pedestal taking shape at the very center. Around the raised edges are several diamond shaped metal frames, eight in total, one in each section of the room. Even as they watch, small tools are etching patterns into the frames, runes similar to those viewed in previous dreams.

There are several blue orbs that just sort of hover in the air here, humming quietly as the tools continue to do their work. Steps lead down from the tiers to the central floor space, and then of course, back upward to the various platforms where the metal frames stand, like windows, or doorways, though there's nothing in them.

Chase follows Joey up to the warped banister, looking at it and nodding. "I wonder if the arched doorway I made inside is still there, too?" When he mentions the vaporized divers, she shakes her head. "Yeah, let's not piss it off if we can help it, huh?"

"I dunno about conquering, but it always seemed like parallel Earths were really damned dangerous on Sliders."

Then she's following Estella inside, looking around and trying to compare it to the image she saw on the blueprint. She lets out a slow, low whistle. "It is definitely further along in since the last time I was here." She looks at the woman who seems to know a lot more than the rest of them. "How long would you say before it's done?"

Looking back to Chase he adds, "Hopefully it's more like that and less like a Borg ship. I really am not good with assimilation. Makes me break out in a lot if 'no'." There's a tone of humor there as he wanders up the stairs and walks into the room Estella is suggesting will be the octagon and maybe receptacle.

"Uhhh cool-ass house if you understand us can you make a smiley face on the floor or somethin? You got a name? How we address you?"

Byron follows along the others into the appointed octagon room and he continues to just keep taking notes and drawing things. "Oh right, Sliders." He pipes up once Chase reminds him of that. "I dunno though. Other planets just seem like a way worse thing for earth to encounter. Usually anyway." He doesn't look at anyone when he talks, he just scribbles away.

When Joey asks if the construct thing can make a smiley face on the floor, Byron's writing hand takes pause and he waits.

Elmo looks around at the others, shrugs, and follows them inside. He's drawn to the pedestal that's being constructed and wanders over there, just behind the blue orbs, watching the tools do their work. "I don't want to be assimilated, either." He looks to Joey, there, with a quick nod. "This thing on those blueprints?" Were there even any runes on there? He can't remember now.

The arched doorway is still there, too, if Chase goes up to look in that section before they move on. When Chase asks Estella how long before it's done, she shakes her head, "I don't know. I'm not sure what done looks like. I have these blueprints from the inventors. But that's just their intended configuration. We'll need to see if it's even working toward the blueprints."

And once they are inside, she sets them down somewhere on a flat surface near the center of the room where they can look at them and the surroundings and make some comparisons if they want to.

The structure does not seem to respond to Joey talking to it.

The runes do seem to match those on the blueprints when Elmo loosk at them and then the blueprints on the table.

"Yeah, agreed." Chase says to Joey. "Even if Seven is extremely hot." When the house does not create a smiley face, she laughs. "I mean, I could probably influence it to do it. But now I'm thinking that maybe I got lucky when I built the arch." She hooks a thumb in the direction of the doorway she convinced the house to make. "I sure as hell do not want to get vaporized. Getting shredded was enough, thanks." No, she is not going to elaborate.

She moves to stand next to Elmo, looking at the progress of the pedestal. Then she steps over to where Estella has spread out the blueprints. Reaching out, she runs her finger along the design on the paper before comparing it to the structure as it's being formed. She has a general knowledge of reading such schematics (comes with the job) but she's nowhere close to being a construction engineer.

"It seems to be making pretty good pace. If we're going to try slowing it down or altering the configuration, we should probably do it sooner rather than later."

Hovering over the group and the blueprints, Byron continues to make notes, probably drawing as best he can, whatever he sees on the map, but then he glances around him at the interior of this place to match as well as anyone else. "I'm wondering, why go through all of this," He then gestures to the extra rooms and things, "Instead of just focusing on making what it needs? Or does it need everything that it's creating?" When he asks this, he looks to Waverly, before checking the blueprints to see if it looks like one giant Elven city up in there too.

Oh, Chase's mention of getting shredded does not go unnoticed to the forensics scientist, "Oh yeah? When did that happen?" He even looks up from both blue prince and notes to glance Chase's way just in case she decides to answer.

Reaching into his canvas bag, he pulls out a camera, he then asks Waverly, "Do you mind if I take some pictures of everything? I'm sure Garrett'll stop by at some point, but I want to see what he makes of this."

<FS3> Elmo rolls Power: Good Success (8 8 7 5 5 4 2 2 2 1)

Joey looks and then leans over. Checking left than right he shakes his head. "All clear here." Does the construction worker look a little disappointed? Maybe a tiny it. "So maybe we don't have feelings to worry about but if we do need to retrofit somethin maybe between a couple of us we make that happen" He pauses and adds, "With a fireman's pole to go back down with. Or a slide." So Birdie doesn't take a nosedive?

There's a pause and he just LOOKS At Chase with a total inability to process that and is silent for a while before saying in earnest, "Ya look damn good for being slap-chopped." She exaggerating? The delivery doesn't suggest at much.

Elmo glances around the space, feeling out with a bit of his own magic to touch beyond what he can see, probing a bit, getting a sense of things. “It’s definitely building electrical systems along with everything else.” Maybe not a huge surprise, but good to know it won’t just run on magic in this world. Gives them more to work with.

He joins the others in looking at Chase for more of an explanation, or at least with surprise, and then sighs. “To be honest, I don’t think I know enough about this thing to decide one way or another. Except that a fireman’s pole would be fun.”

"There were other structures outside of the lab in Sault Sainte Marie," Estella says to Byron. "Perhaps it's just creating extra structures to house.. whatever else it might think was planned?" If it sounds like she's guessing -- it's because she is.

There's a concerned look over toward Chase when she mentions being shredded. "What.. happened? Are you okay?"

Absently, she nods to Byron and says, "Yes, of course.. we'll want to document everything while it's in progress if possible."

Then she smiles a little at Elmo and says, "That's interesting. So it is not purely fueled by magic. Do you know if there's any plumbing or other.. I guess.. human touches?"

Chase glances at each of them, regretting her slip of the tongue. "If you have the ability to bilocate, just make sure both of you stay on the island. Otherwise it's a really bad time." Then she waves her hand, shifting the subject back to the structure that is building a door to Somewhere Else.

"Maybe the extra space is for whoever is coming through the door. Because I get the feeling that this isn't being constructed to take us somewhere." She looks over the blueprints again before bringing her gaze to Estella then Elmo. "I didn't reach out to see what was being built. If they're putting in a toilet, that's damned interesting."

Joey looks to Elmo and says "And fun is essential or it's just work." He gives the plans a concerning once over and while he does fewer interior jobs he is familiar with blueprints and comparing them to the finished produce. "Looks like they're making small changes, but nothing that changes function. Like all the functional pieces are here in the right place. Look a lil different, but that's , ya know, not a huge deal."

Looking to others he asks, "Is it changing how it looks to match where it is? Like this isn't the Sault so many it's changing a bit to go with the park? Like uhh- like that thing chameleons do."

To what Chase says to everyone's nosiness, Byron nods with understanding and even jots that down in a different part of his notes. Probably a section about magic and what different types of magic can do. "I've noted that. Thanks for being the brave guinea pig to test that one out." He won't press her further on that, despite being the doctor in the house.

To what Chase says after that, however, the forensics scientist just has to shake his head, "That, I don't like the idea of. I prefer us going there than anyone popping out into our world and causing mischief. And worse." He then looks at the tree house stuff, "Rather than building them a treehouse, maybe, I don't know? Holding cells?" Look, if he looks like a cop? And maybe sounds like a cop?

When he's given the OK, however, Byron starts snapping all sorts of pictures: pictures of the blue prints, of the interior of this space. And he even takes a step outside to get the current form of whatever is happening to this thing now, dating it, so if it grows, he'll know how much and how long after." He then looks to Joey, "You mean, like the resort has so many rooms? Huh. I guess that could make sense."

<FS3> Elmo rolls Power: Success (8 5 5 5 4 3 3 2 2 1)

<FS3> Elmo rolls Attunement: Good Success (8 8 8 7 5 5 4 1 1)

Elmo starts to pace a bit, both between them podium and the blueprints, but also around the octagonal space. “I think it’s mostly the oubuildings that aren’t part of the plan.”

He winces at Chase’s explanation, then frowns at the question about plumbing, only giving a shrug before his gaze shifts again, searching. “Yeah, I guess we’d have to just open things up and dig around. This place is weird. Maybe it’s building those rooms for us.” He shrugs, but it’s not too far a limb to go out on, the idea that this place is as aware of them as they are of it.

Estella looks a little pale as she contemplates the implications of what Chase has to say about her bilocation experience.

Then she gradually refocuses on the structure itself. "According to the journals, it was supposed to allow us to look into other worlds, and then to travel to them. Though one would presume that the travel would be bi-directional. Or at least, that's the hope."

She nods when Joey gives his assessment and Elmo also adds on that it doesn't seem like the outbuildings were really part of the design but that the rest of it seems to be in the right place. "So, in the lab, this part here.." She gestures to the bottom of the pedestal, "Seems to be where the Siphon was supposed to sit. Then the Looking Glass on top." She taps the top of the pedestal. "Then.. I guess the portals, or doorways or windows.. that's what the archways are supposed to be." She gestures toward them. "But since the Siphon is at the bottom of the lake.. maybe it has connected itself here somehow already. Unless it plans on moving itself." Her brow furrows. "I'm not sure how that would work, but then, I'm not sure how all of this has managed to work." She then shakes her head and says, "I wouldn't open anything up. Unless you could convince it maybe to open something up and let us look inside. But.. no tools. No uh, torches and pipe cutters. I think that would end badly."

"By deduction," Chase says. "If it needs the Siphon to work, and the Siphon is at the bottom of Lake Michigan, then this place is either going to need to bring it here or rebuild it here. Otherwise, all this construction is moot." She walks over to the pedestal and examines it for few moments. Then she turns around and looks at the others.

"I definitely think bringing tools and implements here to start dissecting is a horrible idea. As for convincing it to open up...I think we might be able to convince it. As long as we don't try actually fucking with what it's doing." She glances at Elmo. "What do you think? We ask it nicely to let us take a look under the hood. Push it, lightly, to get it to respond?"

"Or the roots can reach it and it will be enough?" Byron says as he continues to write. When he says roots, he just means more of whatever this thing is building underneath the tree. "If it ever reaches that far, it could very well pull the siphon up on its own. Don't know if we want to touch it in any, less someone can release it from what it's secured to, without touching it, and also TK it over here."

As he says this, he pulls up his phone, reads up on his notes to try to figure out what the distance is between this tree house and the siphon is.

"But I'll leave that up to you. You're the construction team after all and, some of you can even talk to this thing."

Looking to Estella he considers for a moment before offering, "Could make a window to see inside." This is an offer. But something between what Estella says and Chase brings up strikes a lightbulb, "Oooor maybe it's changing because the power source is sitting lower than expected and it's running its version of an extension cord?"

He walks over to see what the console area is toing to try to get the metal to part and make a window. "Bro, I just move metal around where it needs to go and put holes where they're needed." He brings his hand really damn near the machine cautiously and pauses "Yeah if it doesn't like to be touched I dunno if I can do that hands free. Can make a hole in teh floor though to see what's up but I'm going to guess the answer is the ground."

Elmo taps his chin a bit and looks between them. These are some good questions and suggestions. Obviously, it'll take a bit more than ripping floorboards up with a random hammer (bad idea, he knows!). So, when Chase looks to him and asks what he things, he lifts his chin in her direction. "Why don't we ask it what it wants us to do. What it needs help with to get running." He even holds out his hands to whoever wants to take them. Do they need to form a witchy circle for it to work? No idea! Will it talk back? Also no clue! "We can at least search for any error message in the magic code."

"Oh," Waverly says to Byron, "These are the roots. But they are coming from the Siphon. They started there and grew outward. That's what's been happening. It's been reaching all the way out here." She gestures to where they are standing. "Somewhere, at the other end of all of this, is where it is back there in the lake."

She then nods to Joey when he mentions it running some version of an extension cord. "That.. does seem plausible. That it intends to stay at the bottom of the lake and do whatever it does from there."

When Elmo and Chase seem to consider combining powers to talk to it, she nods enthusiastically. "Yes, why don't we try that? I do prefer asking politely if we can."

Chase nods to Elmo, then turns around and reaches out with her magick. Once she's established a connection with the force or program behind the construction, her brow furrows and she absently tilts her head to the side. As if listening to someone. After a few seconds, she blinks and takes a step back.

"Okay. Shit. Never got bombarded by the microwave, that's for sure." She looks over at Estella. "Okay, it recognized when we went into the programming. It's definitely building to some sort of completion and is serious about not trying to change the console in any way. Particularly physically." She looks over at Joey. "It likes what you did with the railing. Those kinds of changes are okay, I think."

"It wants us to help it." She gestures at herself and Elmo. "It's looking for something it needs. My guess is it's the Looking Glass." Chase looks to the other technopath to see if he concurs.

Elmo's eyes flutter almost shut as he and Chase reach out into the strange ether that includes the magical programming that's currently in play here. Somewhere on the other side of the room, The Freak pauses to lift the front half of his body and sniff the air.

When they're finished, Elmo sneezes and shakes his head quickly. "Shit, yeah. It seems to welcome the help we can offer, but it's incomplete without the Looking Glass. Probably." He gestures to Chase to confirm what she said, then looks Byron and Joey. "What do you think? I'm down to help it finish construction, unless you think it's a bad idea?"

Joey slowly arches an eyebrow and looks around very very skeptically and then back. "Well cool I'll stick to cupholders and draft stops then. Uhh, welcome?" There's a glance around and back to Byron and Estella, "Should we ask it about a slide being cool cause I feel that's a conversation or whatever."

There's a longer pause before he catches up, "So it wants to be set up here since it can't reach the thingie in the lake intead of further away where we can't move the thing to? Kinda makes sense." Turning to Elmo he shakes his head, "When else we gonna get a chance to work on stuff this cool? I'm in." He gives the wall a pat. "Let's go let's go. Like the Kids Next Door treehouse." He pulls his phone out and murmurs, "Lemme text my brother and let em know we got some OT opportunity here so he have to play 'dude, where's my bro?' later."

Byron just watches Chase and Elmo do their thing. He even stops with the note taking, sketching and photographing. Everyone has all sorts of different magical abilities. His, more likely helps solve crimes. He'll have to play around with it a bit more.

And then both machine talkers return with information, and one of them sneezes. To Elmo, he makes sure to say, "Bless you." And then Chase mentions the Looking Glass and to this, Byron's eyes look to Waverly. Either way, he writes that information down. "As for whether we should be doing this? That's not up to me. And I've no way to sense whether this is a good or bad idea yet." He says yet, but he has no idea if he'd be able to determine that EVER. "So," He shrugs, "What do the Heads want to do? That's what I'm interested in. And what they plan to do with this once it's complete."

That is the question, isn't it? What do the Heads want to do about this? And what will they do with it when it's complete. Estella looks very thoughtful for a few moments and says, "I will bring what we've found here back to Mr. Cavendish and inquire what he'd like us to do going forward, but I suspect that he will want us to continue with the project and see it through to completion."

She smiles at those gathered and says, "If you would all like to continue to be on the project and work on it with me, I'd very much appreciate it. And if you know of any others who have skills that might be beneficial in doing so, please let them know that I'm happy to have their assistance on the team."
