Scarlett Nash burst onto the music scene during her senior year of high school when she released the song 'Your Name' on Soundcloud and it unexpectedly took off, going viral on social media quickly. Since then, she's signed to a major record label and become an alt-pop staple (always the pick of trendy hipsters but never fully mainstream). To date, she's released three full albums (as well as an EP or two):

American Whore (2017)

Nash's highly-anticipated first album arrived a year after 'Your Name' established her as an artist to watch. While critics agreed that American Whore contained plenty of the growing pains one would expect from such a young musician, it was also lauded for taking significant stylistic swings. The album established Nash's signature sound, which blends the country music elements of her sweet southern drawl and twangy guitars with the hazy vocal effects and guitar distortion of shoegaze. Of course, the catchy pop melodies and choruses that never leave your head were the biggest factor in American Whore's commercial success.

On the evening of Friday, the 27th of December, the Winter Masquerade Ball is being held at the Queen's Castle. The proceeds from all tickets and donations go toward local organizations providing coverage for heating bills, local food pantries, and winter clothing drives for local families. Rapid Ascent: Bursting onto the scene in her senior year of high school, Scarlett Nash quickly became an indie darling and established herself as a young rising star in the music industry. Her style melds shoegaze and country (think Ethel Cain but with more distorted guitar), and at this point she has a national profile comparable to Beabadoobee, Clairo, or Mitski. Maybe you know the name or have listened to her music!

Falling Star: After landing a supporting gig with the 1975, she dropped off the face off the earth in a high profile flame-out related to drug and alcohol misuse. She's doing her best to avoid being recognized at Spellbound. Are you going to get in the way of that? (Please do).

Distract Me: Given the turbulence in her life lately, Scarlett is looking for pleasant distractions at Spellbound. She'd love your help.

Grew up in the northern Atlanta suburbs to moderately wealthy parents.
Natural performer from a young age. Started learning piano very young and continued to pick up instrument after instrument. Involved in cheer, band, dance, and choir all throughout school.
Started writing her own music and performed in several short-lived bands all throughout high school. Her musical style tended to blend country with dream pop, somewhere between My Bloody Valentine and The Chicks.
Self-released a few solo songs on Soundcloud without picking up much of an audience. During her senior year of high school, released a song called 'Your Name' that completely blew up on social media and increased her profile exponentially overnight. Signed to a record label soon after and embarked on a solo career.
After a few years, a few LPs and moderate success to her name, Scarlett landed a spot as a supporting act for the American section of a major band's international tour. However, she ended up in rehab after nearly overdosing on drugs in the aftermath of the third show and was promptly dropped from the tour.
Needing to lie low, Scarlett is coming to Spellbound while also attending a rehab program nearby.
