[TXT to Avery] Trace: You were right.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Of course, I was.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: About what though?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Enzo.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Mind if we post-pone brunch plans to tomorrow?
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Ohhhhhhhhh
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Yeah, no problem.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Are you ok?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: I am.. actually really, really good.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: So this is a good thing...?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Yeah, it's definitely a good thing. This morning was kind of a roller-coaster but we finally had a real long kind of intense conversation.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: And let's just say there was a LOT to unpack.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: But we're good now. And the air is clear.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Awww, I love this! I knew you two just needed to talk it out!
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Yeah, we did.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: So... did any more kissy face happen? Or was it just the talk you both needed?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: There may in fact have been some more kissing involved, without any giant presents, or crowds, or pretenses.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: That sound much more comfortable!
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Listen, we are.. kind of going to keep it quiet though. There's reasons having to do with both of our families. But I wanted you to know, our close friends to know.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: <3 Thank you, that means a lot to me. I won't say anything to anyone.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: It's still complicated. But.. at least now it's not complicated between us.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: I'm just so happy for you both that you got to a good spot that you are both comfortable with.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Yeah, I think we can figure it out from here. At least now we're both on the same side.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Something tells me you'll be good for Enzo.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: He kept the little piece of holly, the one I'd been playing with in the throne room while we were decorating before Christmas. I was going to keep it, but I forgot it there when I left. He had it on his piano under the snowglobe I gave him. I'd forgotten about it until I saw it there, with the bits of gold paint on it.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: That is so adorable!!
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Who knew Enzo was so sentimental.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: He was like "I could have picked up holly anywhere!" but I was like, yeah you could have... but that particular piece was the one that I took because of the paint on it, because I didn't use it on the train set since the guests would see it up close. Then he was like, did you set me up? And I was like.. man, if only I were that premeditated. No I did not ENTRAP you with HOLLY, sir!
[TXT to Avery] Trace: I'd forgotten it entirely until I saw it again.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: LOL
[TXT to Avery] Trace: It was funny. And it was sweet.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Super sweet!
[TXT to Trace] Avery: I'm not even that sweet.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: How was your NYE? Did you and Bam make it out there? And what'd you think of the crazy giant blue ball of light?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: I don't believe you that you aren't that sweet. You got me something to protect me in my dreams. That's pretty sweet.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: We did! I'll have to send you a picture of us, my dress was amazing! Diana I went to the mainland to go shopping.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Between Bam doing the choreography for the performance and you taking part of in the huge exploding art show! I have some amazingly talented people in my life. It was amazing!
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Speaking of... That big blue burst at the end? uhh... that wasn't somehow apart of the show was it?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Yes. I require dress pictures. I didn't really dress up all that much. I was wiped from working all morning. So it was kind of a blazer and vneck with jeans situation. Nothing exciting.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: I'm glad you liked it. That show was like two months of work by the whole team to put together between the choreography and getting all the supplies and then the whole day of loading it up. I'm really proud of how it turned out.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: You should be!
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Uh, no. So that was not ours. That was something else entirely. And that's what we're trying to figure out and investigate. To try to figure out where it came from. What it means.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: sigh I didnt think it was, but I thought I'd just make sure. I could feel rattling something deep inside me.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Yeah that deep hum. Like when you're at a concert and you can feel the bass in your bones.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Yes! And your blood is vibrating in your ear.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Do you know if anyone saw where it came from?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Where it came from? No. I'm hoping that I can get some information from people on where the edges were. I'm going to plot them on a map of the lake. See if it has an epicenter, like an earthquake.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: I just meant... It had to come from somewhere, right? Or do you think it just burst from somewhere in the sky? There are other islands I've never been to and don't have anything on them.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Yeah. It had to come from somewhere. I just don't know where. Fell from the sky? Exploded out of the ground? Shot from a cannon? Not a clue. But I figure it's a start.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: I kinda want to grab a boat and go look around and see if anything is glowing in the water or something. Maybe I could pull something up?
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Maybe. That's why I'm trying to get an idea of the edges, to know the area in which we've got to look. That's a big lake and a lot of water.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Yeah, you're right.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: But there's no reason not to go look for glowing things if you have the time and a boat!
[TXT to Trace] Avery: There has to be a boat I can borrow somewhere around here. Maybe after you look at your map and figure out the edges, then I’ll have a better idea of where to center my search.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: You can rent them from the marina at the resort.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: Thats what I was thinking.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: I'll keep you looped in on what I find out and what the rest of us are doing.
[TXT to Trace] Avery: I appreciate that. I want to help if I can. I’m just not sure what else I can do right now until we know more.
[TXT to Avery] Trace: Yeah, same, really.
