2025 Valentine's Day: The Snugglebunnies

These cute fuzzy creatures have somehow gotten separated from their other halves. It's up to those that populate Spellbound Island to help reunite the star-crossed lovers.

You have encountered a small adorable creature somewhere during your day. It seems very sad, crying and making sad little pitiful trilling noises as though it is lost. Every so often it calls out with a soft little song, no more than five notes or so. Its long ears swivel hopefully, listening for a reply that so far hasn't come. Can you reunite your snugglebunny with its partner?

  • Snugglebunnies are very affectionate and like to be kept close. Hoodie pockets are ideal.
  • Snugglebunnies eat sweet things -- chocolate, candy, honey, and fruit. No veggies. No meat.
  • They will call out their little five-note song to try to find their missing partner.
  • Each pair has their own song that they can recognize once they're close enough to hear one another.

What should i know about the bunnies?

  • They are considered "Animals" can be communicated with via Animal Influence.
  • They can show interest, intent, desire to go somewhere by the way their ears are pointed.
  • They can trill at varying volumes and pitches to indicate anger, fear, happiness, etc.
  • They will sing their song every so often to try to get a response.

How do I find my bunny's partner?

  • Random happenstance? You happen to pass another seeker on the ferry, on the way home from work, etc.
  • Put out a call? Post on the employee board to find others who found snugglebunnies?
  • Marco Polo? Just walk around with it out and listen for a return call?
  • Get some clues? Try to find out what the bunny likes/eats and then look for other places one might hope to find other bunnies?
  • However you and your RP partner decide to get to the end point is up to you. Have fun with it. This is an opportunity to get to RP with a random person you've never met, or complete a fun little side quest with a friend.

Your goal! Find your bunny's partner through a scene or series of scenes. Attach them to the "2025 Valentine's Day: The Snugglebunnies" plot and put in a request to staff when you have reunited your creatures.

Now that folks are finally reuniting their snugglebunnies, the question becomes -- what happens next?

  • The pairs of snugglebunnies will want to spend a lot of time together. They will, in fact, snuggle, play, eat, and happily sing to one another.
  • As they spend time together, their colors will gradually change into a soft dove grey over the course of a few days.
  • Once their color has fully changed, they continue to seem friendly to one another, but they no longer get sad when separated and seem perfectly happy to be separated or play with others of their own kind.
  • They can then exist separately just fine.
  • Until next February, when they will gradually turn screaming pink again, and sing sadly for their snuggle bunny bestie.
  • Once you have successfully reunited your snugglebunnies, put in a job with a link to the reuniting scene and you will get the achievement that allows you to keep one.

Also note:

  • Snugglebunnies have no outward obvious sex characteristics. They are, for all intents and purposes identical.
  • They do not reproduce, so far as anyone knows. If/how they came to be or continue to be is a mystery. No snugglebabies.
  • Their lifespan is longer than the game is likely to be around and thus none should expire naturally during the course of the game.
  • They do not have any known illnesses or conditions.
  • They can be eaten by predators. Keep them safe.
  • If a player that has your snugglebunny's other half idles out or leaves the game, we will assume that your bunny is able to continue to have their yearly play date. No sad lonely bunnies.

Completion!

  • Those who successfully complete this plot during the 2025 Valentine's Day season will get to keep their Snugglebunny as an IC pet. This is currently the only way that these creatures can be obtained as pets.

  • Only those who completed the plot may keep the pets.

  • Yes, you can give your snugglebunny to its partner's keeper and they can keep both.

  • No, you may not give the snugglebunnies to someone who didn't complete the plot.

  • Any snugglebunnies that were not reunited either never existed (if no scene was done about finding them) or ran off into the wild and are presumed to have eventually found their partner on their own.
